409,342. Gas and electric fires. DURRANT, F., 114, Cheapside, London. Oct. 27, 1932, No. 30144. [Classes 39 (iii) and 126.] A double-walled screen-like support arranged to stand upon the floor forms an air-heating duct 2 and carries upon the front wall an incandescent gas or electric fire 1, the air being humidified by passing over a water-container 3 which is embodied in the support. In the construction shown, the water-container 3 is formed by the base of the support, the lower end of the duct 2, which tapers upwardly, being immediately above the surface of the water. The fume-pipe 5 passes through the air duct. Specifications 346,173 and 351,383 are referred to.
