Abstract
324,777. Burnside, G. B. Dec. 24, 1928. Electric stoves.- A heating and ventilating system comprises a tubular member A provided internally with electrical heating means 4, and means for conserving the heat of the air passing through the member, and such member is disposed with its inlet 2 in communication with fresh air and its outlet extends upwards into communication with the room. The part of the tube in which the heating means is located is of hollow formation comprising inner and outer shells 5, 6 closed at the parts 7, 8 as shown in Fig. 1. The space between the shells may be filled with heat-insulating material, and if desired the double wall formation of the tube may be extended to the outlet 3 and also the inlet 2. A structure B of coal-grate appearance, which may be disposed in front of the tube A, is provided with transparent material C, representing fuel, illuminated from behind by a lamp 10.
