Abstract
290,944. Adriaenssens, F. Jan. 13, 1928. Springs, arrangement of.- In a spring suspension for a lorry having near the driving axle 7 a supplementary axle 1 provided with wheels, the supplementary axle 1 is connected to the frame by a transverse leaf spring 2, Fig. 1, in combination with universal joint connections 6 between the driving and supplementary axles. The spring 2 is connected to the axle 1 by shackles 4 and to the frame 5 by lugs 11, journaled in bearings projecting from the frame. The universal joints 6 may form part of the clips surrounding the axles. The supplementary axle may be connected to rods by universal-joint connections, the other ends of the rods being bolted to the frame member.
