Abstract
461,602. Vehicle spring-suspensions. KOLBE, J. July 17, 1936, No. 19916. Convention date, July 30, 1935. Addition to 417,067. [Class 108 (ii)] In vehicles in which the body is supported from the axles or chassis by inclined links as described in the parent Specification restoring springs comprise tension springs arranged between the links and the link and spring system may be mounted as a unit. As shown in Fig. 6 the body 4 is connected to the axle 1 by links 2, 3 to lateral extensions of which are connected the ends of a spiral spring 20. When the body tilts on cornering, the links cause the spring to be tensioned. Fig. 7 shows the spiral spring replaced by a rubber spring 20 carried by telescopic sleeves 27, 28 connected to the links 2, 3.
