Abstract
Procedimiento para producir simvastatina y/o sus derivados, que comprende hacer reaccionar un compuesto de fórmula (II): **(Ver fórmula)** en la que R1 representa hidrógeno o metilo y R2 representa un grupo alquilo de cadena lineal o ramificada que tiene de 1 a 8 átomos de carbono, un grupo cicloalquilo que tiene de 3 a 7 átomos de carbono, o un grupo aralquilo que tiene de 1 a 6 átomos de carbono en la cadena alquílica.
