Abstract
"ANEL DE PISTãO APRESENTANDO RESISTêNCIA AO ARRASTE, RUPTURA E RESISTêNCIA à FADIGA AUMENTADAS E SEU MéTODO DE PRODUçãO, BEM COMO COMBINAçãO DO ANEL DE PISTãO E DO BLOCO DE CILINDRO". Um anel de pistão apresentando resistência ao arraste, resistência à ruptura e resistência à fadiga aumentadas, consiste em um aço inoxidável martensítico de alto cromo e uma camada nitrificada deslizante, formada na superfície do referido aço inoxidável. O aço inoxidável consiste em C: 0,3 a 1,0%; Cr: 14,0 a 21%; N: 0,05 a 0,50% em pelo menos um Mo, V, W e Nb: 0,03 a 3,0% no total; Si: 0,1 a 1,0%, Mn: 0,1 a 1,0%, P: 0,05% ou menos, S: 0,05% ou menos, o equilíbrio sendo Fe e impurezas inevitáveis. A camada nitrificada, deslizante compreende em partículas duras em sua superfície, consistindo principalmente de nitritos em uma faixa de 0,2 a 2,0 gm de dimensão de partículas padrão, 7 <109>m ou menos do diâmetro mais longo e a partir de 5 a 30% em proporção de área."PISTON RING PRESENTING INCREASED TRACK RESISTANCE, BREAKTHROUGH AND FATIGUE RESISTANCE AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD AS WELL AS COMBINATION OF PISTON RING AND CYLINDER BLOCK". A piston ring having increased drag, break strength and fatigue strength consists of a high chromium martensitic stainless steel and a sliding nitrified layer formed on the surface of said stainless steel. Stainless steel consists of C: 0.3 to 1.0%; Cr: 14.0 to 21%; N: 0.05 to 0.50% in at least one Mo, V, W and Nb: 0.03 to 3.0% in total; Si: 0.1 to 1.0%, Mn: 0.1 to 1.0%, P: 0.05% or less, S: 0.05% or less, the equilibrium being Fe and unavoidable impurities. The nitrified, sliding layer comprises hard particles on its surface, consisting mainly of nitrite in a range of 0.2 to 2.0 gm standard particle size, 7 ≤ m or less of the longest diameter and from 5 to 30% by area ratio.
