Abstract
Un anillo de piston que posee mejoradas resistencias a la friccion, resistencia a la fractura y resistencia a la fatiga, que comprende un acero inoxidable martensítico de alto contenido de cromo y una capa de nitruracion deslizante formada sobre la superficie de dicho acero. El acero inoxidable comprende, en % de volumen, de C:0,3% a 1,0%; Cr: 14,0% a 21,0%; N: 0,05% a 0,50%; por lo menos uno de Mo, V, W y Nb: 0,03% en total; Si: 0,1% a 1,0%; Mn: 0,1% a 1,0%; P: 0,05% o menos; S: 0,05% o menos, en donde el resto es Fe e impurezas inevitables. Dicha capa de nitruracion deslizante comprende en su superficie partículas duras que principalmente consisten de nitruros en un orden de 0,5 a 2,0 mm de tamano de partícula promedio, 7 mm o menos de mayor diámetro y de 5 a 30% en % de área.A piston ring that has improved friction resistance, fracture resistance and fatigue resistance, which comprises a high chromium-containing martensitic stainless steel and a sliding nitriding layer formed on the surface of said steel.
