Abstract
Se provee un medio de detección y evaluación de mezclas, basado en el concepto de selectividad global, con sensibilidad y selectividad mejoradas. Una primera materialización se refiere a un sensor para el análisis de mezclas por selectividad global comprendiendo por lo menos dos unidades sensoriales que consisten en: (a) electrodos o microelectrodos interdigitados recubiertos con por lo menos una monocapa de una película ultrafina de un material formador de película con afinidad físico-química por las sustancias peculiares de la mezcla a ser analizada seleccionado del grupo que comprende polímeros conductores complejantes, sustancias complejantes y sus combinaciones y, opcionalmente, (b) electrodos o microelectrodos interdigitados no recubiertos. Otra materialización se refiere a un sistema sensorial que comprende: (1) por lo menos dos unidades sensoriales generadoras de una senal eléctrica, que consisten en: (a) electrodos o microelectrodos interdigitados recubiertos con por lo menos una monocapa de una película ultrafina de un material formador de película con afinidad físico-química por las sustancias peculiares de la mezcla a ser analizada seleccionado del grupo que comprende polímeros conductores complejantes, sustancias complejantes y sus combinaciones y, opcionalmente; (b) electrodos o microelectrodos interdigitados no recubiertos; (2) medios receptores de senal eléctrica, obtenida por medio de medidas en corriente alterna, emitida por las unidades sensoriales en contacto con el material a ser analizado y (3) medios de procesamiento de las medidas para análisis de patrón de respuesta del conjunto formado por las diferentes unidades sensoriales. El sensor puede ser aplicado, entre otros usos, en el análisis de paladar y monitoreo, de la calidad de productos para consumo humano, especialmente bebidas y alimentos en la forma líquida, y en la evaluación y detección de sustancias húmicas y otros contaminantes (orgánicos e inorgánicos) de agua de fuentes naturales (ríos, lagos, lagunas, etc.) con el fin de controlar la calidad del agua y la preservación del medio ambiente.
