Abstract
Ved alle hittil kjente fremgangsmåter fremsmtilles tettheten av gassrommene (6) av brenselceller ved anvendelse av kontakttrykk. Det blir alltid igjen en liten spalte mellom elektrode og membran. Tet- ningsprosessen ifølge oppfinnelsen kleber imidler- tid sammen bipolarplaten (la) og membran(8)- elektrode(4)-enheten under anvendelse av en herd- bar polymer. Ved påføring av en klebeplate (7) på gassrommets ytre omfang og rundt de indre gass- gjennomføringer dannes en gasstett sammensetning. Ved stabling og sammenklebning av disse sammenset- ninger opnår man et PEM-brenselcellebatteri. Sam- mensetningene av bipolarplate og MEA egner seg til bruk i polymerelektrolytt-brenselceller og i de tilsvarende elektrolyseceller. De kan også med fordel brukes ved en mobil anvendelse på grunn av sin lave vekt.
