Abstract
La invencion esta dirigida a complejos catalizadores de metaloceno puenteados que son suficientemente solubles en solventes alifaticos para ser particularmente adecuados para procesos de polimerizacion de olefinas en solucion, tal que puedan prepararse copolimeros de olefina con altos pesos moleculares y altas actividades de catalizador, particularmente a elevadas temperaturas de reaccion de polimerizacion. Mas especificamente, la invencion se refiere particularmente a un proceso de polimerizacion para copolimeros de etileno que tienen una densidad de alrededor de 0.850 a alrededor de 0.940, que comprende poner en contacto, bajo condiciones de polimerizacion en solucion a una temperatura de reaccion a o mayor de 60 a 250oC, etileno y uno o mas co-monomeros capaces de polimerizacion por insercion con un complejo catalizador de metaloceno puenteado derivado a partir de dos ligandos auxiliares, cada uno de los cuales, independientemente, puede ser sustituido o sin sustituir, donde los ligandos son enlazados mediante un puente covalente que contiene un solo atomo del grupo 14 sustituido, la sustitucion en dicho atomo del grupo 14 comprendiendo grupos arilo, al menos uno de los cuales contiene un sustituyente hidrocarbilsililo, y B) un co-catalizador de activacion.
