Linky Links

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Corporate Media really has the knives out for Robert Kennedy Jr. I'll add that I think in reality RFK Jr. is probably polling at much higher than 20%. I wish I put more money down when I had him at +$600.

- Niall Ferguson - American still leads the world, but its allies are uneasy. Longish read but worth it.

- Matt Taibbi on Kurt Vonnegut and in particular Harrison Bergeron. Vonnegut is a personal favorite of mine.

- NASA finally admits climate change due mostly to changes in Earth's rotation around the sun. To be kind maybe they just learned not to argue with stupid people much earlier than most. [EDIT: this article came out in Aug 2019]

- Kurt Vonnegut's letter to school children just a few months before his death.

- Elon Musk reveals "secret" Twitter labels still causing shadowbans on conservatives. Guessing Elon has a crack team going through the code line by line.

- My personal favorite version of America the Beautiful

- Gabe Kaplan to retire as High Stakes Poker commentator. What a versatile guy. Standup comedian, TV star, expert poker player, and perhaps the best poker commentator ever. Also was a heck of a pick-up basketball player when younger.
