I learned the importance of hard work at an early age. I was the first in my family to attend & graduate college, a single parent for 11 years and I worked my way up in the food industry. My career focus was the agriculture & the meat industry, once at a plant facility, then marketing, product development, supply chain management, and eventually leading sales teams across the country. Often, I was the only women in sales management with my employers.

In my career, I had to be strong, listen and to pick my battles with logic and reason. My life focused on working with others, listening, and having constructive conversations to reach consensus. These are the same skills needed to be impactful in the Missouri House of Representatives.

  • If you want someone in Jeff City that will build relationships, find solutions, and fight for you, I am your gal. I will take on the issues that matter!
  • A proven leader who gets things done. I am accountable, accessible, the grown up in the room and most importantly, I will listen.
  • I am an experienced leader that brings a unique perspective. I am not looking for a 2nd career or to engage in political games. I am a professional businesswoman running for the right reasons, to give back to my community and do what is right.

Poliically, it would be Ronald Reagan. He was a great communicator and he brought people together for the common good. He was tough but also approachable, rational, and logical. He inspired people with his optimism and his courage. He not only wanted to heal the American economy but to protect individual liberties. He was determined to remove barriers so individuals would be encouraged to contribute to society, find their purpose and achieve their dreams.

Personally, it would be my grandparents, my parents, and several wonderful educators. Through their example, I witnessed the strength of their belief in God and strong faith. They were all role models for a strong work ethic and provided understanding that we are part of something bigger and have a role to play.

God gives us all unique gifts and talents. We are called to use our gifts for good. I have used my gifts throughout my life to advocate for many causes and organizations and as a State Representative, I will use my voice to advocate for my community.

Leadership is not just word to me; it is an action. It is about serving, taking the initiative to make a situation or cause better. It is my belief that life is not about you or me, but about how and what we give back to help others.

Representing the people
Educating the public
Lawmaking and public policy
State budget
Tax and spending accountability

Someone who inspires others to be active in their community and make a positive difference. It is about giving back and serving.

We are One Body in Christ and We Do Not Stand Alone

I was a single parent for 11 years and my child came first. Being a parent is the most important job anyone will ever do and it should be your priority. You are raising another human being, laying a foundation, providing purpose and direction. Our children are the future. Nothing else is as important as being an active and involved parent.

Our government was designed with a check and balance system to ensure our the governing body would be a cooperative entity.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Missouri

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
