I am Anthony Ealy Jr., a progressive activist, and lawyer, running for the Missouri House of Representatives in District 36. The people of Grandview and Kansas City deserve bold, new leadership. I am the person to deliver results for working people. I am the son of a mail union leader, and I am incredibly proud of my working-class roots. I believe that our politicians should know what concerns voters have so that those concerns can be heard and addressed in Jefferson City. As my District's representative, I will be a strong progressive voice in Jefferson City.

I am running in Grandview's District 36 because I love the community. I am a son of the district, and I attended high school in the area. As a young Black man in Missouri, my community faced incredible challenges, but Grandview has always been my home. Our community is changing, and I believe voters want to see our community represented by our politicians. Our district is increasingly becoming younger and more Black, Asian, and Hispanic, but our representatives reflect an old guard of the political establishment. As an elected official, I hope to embody the increasingly progressive nature of our district. I will fight for people of color, working people, and the most vulnerable members of our society. Grandview deserves a champion who represents everyone, and I plan to be that person
  • I believe that the values of Run For Something are the heartbeat of the progressive movement in our country. I plan on embodying these values as an elected official in Missouri. I plan on combatting income inequality in multiple different ways. For example, I will promote the right to collective bargaining and strength unions in our state.
  • I also plan on sponsoring legislation that supports universal healthcare, raising the minimum wage, and free public transport because they are the most significant ways of reducing income inequality.
  • In terms of racial justice, I favor reimagining police departments, inviting in community programs, and ending the school-to-prison pipeline. I also believe that racial justice and environmental justice are linked, so I favor promoting green bills that stop toxic dumping in minority communities, encourage better air quality conditions, and reduce food deserts.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Missouri

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
