Duane Davidson
Duane Davidson (Republican Party) was the Washington Treasurer. He assumed office on January 11, 2017. He left office on January 11, 2021.
Davidson (Republican Party) ran for election to the Washington House of Representatives to represent District 8-Position 1. He did not appear on the ballot for the primary on August 2, 2022.
Biography
Born in Carnation, Washington, Davidson graduated from Tolt High School and earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Central Washington University. He worked as an auditor for the state auditor's office and as the chief financial accountant for Benton County before his election as Benton County treasurer in 2003. He was re-elected to his fourth term as county treasurer in 2014. As of the 2016 election, Davidson served as the president of the Washington Association of County Treasurers and as treasurer for the Kiwanis Club of Tri Cities Industry Foundation.
Davidson lives in the Tri-Cities with his wife, Kathy. He has two daughters and one son who also reside in the area.[1]

Davidson filed to run as a Republican in the 2016 election for treasurer of Washington. He competed with three Democrats and one Republican in the August 2 top-two primary election.[3] Davidson and fellow Republican Michael Waite placed first and second, respectively, in the August 2 primary election. They competed in the November 8 general election.
