Abstract
Description
図7は、本発明の車両駆動装置10の構成を示す模式図である。本発明の車両駆動装置10は、駆動用のモータと当該モータのトルクを左右輪の各々に伝達する歯車機構とを有するモータユニット1と、モータユニット1の上側に配置されるインバータ4とを備えており、インバータ4をコンパクトに搭載するとともにインバータ4の構成部品であるコンデンサ5及び半導体モジュール6を効果的に冷却する冷却部20を備える。
図1~図4及び図6は、本適用例(実施形態)に係る車両駆動装置10の構成を説明するための図である。図中の前後,左右,上下は、車両駆動装置10が搭載される車両の運転者を基準として定められる方向を表す。図1に示すように、車両駆動装置10には、車両に搭載される駆動用のモータ2及びギヤボックス3を有するモータユニット1と、インバータ4とが設けられる。本実施例では、車両に搭載されるバッテリ(図示略)の電力を受けて車両の左右輪を駆動する二つのモータ2(電動機)を備えたモータユニット1を例示する。
(1)図1~図3及び図7に示すように、上記の車両駆動装置10では、インバータ4を構成する部品であるコンデンサ5及び半導体モジュール6がいずれも、カバー下面17に取り付けられる「ぶら下がりレイアウト」となっている。これにより、インバータケース14内の空間を有効活用できるうえ、カバー15とは別体のベースプレートにコンデンサ5及び半導体モジュール6を取り付ける構造と比べて、ベースプレートを省略できる。言い換えると、ベースプレートの機能をカバー15に兼ねることができるため、部品点数を削減できるとともに、インバータ4の上下方向の寸法を軽減でき、省スペース化を図れる。したがって、車両駆動装置10によれば、限られた搭載空間Sにインバータ4をコンパクトに搭載でき、車両駆動装置10の小型化を実現できる。
上述した本実施例及び変形例の各構成は、それらの趣旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々変形して実施できる。また、本実施例及び変形例の各構成は、必要に応じて取捨選択でき、あるいは適宜組み合わせることができる。
上記のカバー15の形状は一例である。カバー15は、少なくとも冷却部が一体化されていればよく、凸部24や膨出部25を有しない平板状であってもよい。

- 車両に搭載された駆動用のモータと、前記モータのトルクを前記車両の左右輪の各々に伝達する歯車機構とを有するモータユニットと、
前記モータユニットの上側に配置され、電力を平滑化するコンデンサと複数のスイッチング素子を含む半導体モジュールとを有するインバータと、を備え、
前記インバータは、前記コンデンサ及び前記半導体モジュールを収容するトレイ部と、前記トレイ部に取り付けられ前記コンデンサ及び前記半導体モジュールを上方から覆う平板状のカバーと、を有し、
前記カバーには、前記インバータの冷却用の冷媒が流通する冷却部が一体化されており、
前記コンデンサ及び前記半導体モジュールは、いずれも前記カバーの下面に取り付けられている
ことを特徴とする、車両駆動装置。 - 前記カバーは、前記トレイ部の周縁に取り付けられるとともに前記冷却部が設けられた平板部と、前記平板部から上方に向けて凸状に形成されて前記コンデンサが収容される凸部と、を有する

ことを特徴とする、請求項1又は2記載の車両駆動装置。 - 前記モータユニットは、前記車両の左右方向に延びる回転軸を有するとともに前記左右方向に互いに離隔して配置され、前記左右輪を駆動する左右の前記モータを有し、
前記歯車機構は、前記左右のモータのトルクを増幅して前記左右輪の各々に伝達するものであり、
前記半導体モジュールは、前記左右のモータの各々に用いられる二つのモジュールを含み、
前記第二冷却通路は、前記二つのモジュールが取り付けられている位置の直上にそれぞれ設けられ、
前記第一冷却通路は、二つの前記第二冷却通路を直列に繋ぐとともに前記コンデンサの周囲を三方向又は四方から囲むように設けられる
ことを特徴とする、請求項3記載の車両駆動装置。 - 前記モータユニットは、前記左右のモータ間に挟装されるとともに、前記左右のモータの各モータハウジングと共に下方に窪んだ凹部を形成するギヤボックスを有し、
前記インバータは、前記左右のモータ及び前記ギヤボックスの上方において前記凹部を含み前面視でT字状をなす搭載空間に配置されるとともに、少なくとも前記コンデンサは前記凹部に位置し、
前記第一冷却通路は、前記車両の左右方向に延びる部分が、前記搭載空間内において左右方向の外側に向かって上り傾斜している
