[1]本開示のコネクタは、機器のケースの外面に取り付けられ、前記機器に電気的に接続されるコネクタであって、開口、及び前記開口の周縁に設けられ、前記ケースの外面に対向する対向面を有するハウジングと、前記開口から露出する端子と、前記ハウジングから前記開口の外周側に突出するとともに前記ケースに取り付けられるプレートと、前記対向面に設けられ、前記開口の周縁を取り囲むとともに前記ハウジングと前記ケースとの間をシールする環状のシール本体部を有するシール部材と、を備え、前記プレートは、前記プレートの厚さ方向に貫通する貫通孔を有し、前記シール部材は、前記シール本体部から前記プレートに向かって延びるとともに前記貫通孔に挿入される延在部と、前記延在部に設けられ、前記プレートに係合することで前記貫通孔からの前記延在部の抜け止めをする抜け止め部と、を有している。
複数の端子が並列に配置されているコネクタにおいては、開口の寸法が端子の個数に応じて大きくなる。そして、開口の寸法が大きくなるほど、シール部材とケースの外面との接触面積が大きくなり、シール部材がケースの外面に貼り付きやすくなる。その結果、ハウジングからのシール部材の脱落が発生しやすくなる。
[3]前記シール本体部は、前記ケースの外面に接触するシール面を有し、前記シール面は、前記対向面に直交する方向において、前記延在部よりも前記対向面から離れた位置に設けられていることが好ましい。
[本開示の実施形態の詳細]
本開示のコネクタの具体例を、以下に図面を参照しつつ説明する。各図面では、説明の便宜上、構成の一部を誇張又は簡略化して示す場合がある。また、各部分の寸法比率については各図面で異なる場合がある。なお、本開示はこれらの例示に限定されるものではなく、特許請求の範囲によって示され、特許請求の範囲と均等の意味及び範囲内でのすべての変更が含まれることが意図される。本明細書における「直交」は厳密に直交の場合のみでなく、本実施形態における作用効果を奏する範囲内で概ね直交の場合も含まれる。
図1及び図2に示すように、コネクタ10は、例えば、モータやインバータなどの車両用の機器に電気的に接続されるものである。コネクタ10は、開口101を有する機器のケース100の外面102に取り付けられている。
ハウジング20は、複数の端子30を保持する保持部21と、筒状をなす筒状部22とを有している。ハウジング20は、例えば、ポリブチレンテレフタレート(PBT)などの樹脂材料により形成されている。
図示は省略するが、ハウジング20の開口23には、樹脂製のサービスカバーが設けられている。また、ハウジング20には、サービスカバーを覆うとともにプレート50に固定される金属製のシールドシェルが設けられている。
内壁25は、開口23の周方向における全体にわたって設けられている。複数の外壁26は、開口23の周方向に互いに間隔をおいて設けられている。すなわち、開口23の周方向において隣り合う2つの外壁26同士の間には、隙間Gが設けられている。ハウジング20には、例えば、8つの隙間Gが設けられている。
図2に示すように、端子30は、電線接続部31と端子接続部32とを有している。端子30は、電線接続部31と端子接続部32とが一体に形成された単一部品である。端子30は、例えば、銅、銅合金、アルミニウム、アルミニウム合金、ステンレス鋼などの金属材料により形成されている。
図1に示すように、プレート50は、X軸方向に長い長尺状をなしている、プレート50は、例えば、鉄系の金属材料により形成されている。プレート50とハウジング20とは、インサート成形によって一体化されている。プレート50は、プレート50の厚さ方向、すなわちZ軸方向に貫通する複数の取付孔51を有している。プレート50には、例えば、6つの取付孔51が設けられている。取付孔51の断面形状は、例えば、円形状をなしている。取付孔51には、プレート50をケース100に取り付けるための図示しないボルトが挿入されている。プレート50がケース100に取り付けられることによって、コネクタ10がケース100の外面102に取り付けられている。
図2に示すように、シール部材60は、溝24に嵌め込まれている。したがって、シール部材60は、対向面24aに設けられている。シール部材60は、例えば、ゴムなどの弾性材料により形成されている。
シール本体部61は、開口23の周縁を取り囲む環状をなしている。シール本体部61がハウジング20の対向面24aとケース100の外面102とに挟み込まれることにより、ハウジング20とケース100との間がシールされている。シール本体部61は、ケース100の外面102に接触するシール面61aを有している。
シール部材60の第2延在部64がプレート50の貫通孔52に挿入される。そして、第2延在部64に設けられた抜け止め部65がプレート50に係合する。このため、貫通孔52からの第2延在部64の抜け止めがなされる。
(1)コネクタ10は、機器のケース100の外面102に取り付けられ、機器に電気的に接続される。コネクタ10は、開口23、及び対向面24aを有するハウジング20と、開口23から露出する端子30と、ハウジング20から開口23の外周側に突出するプレート50と、対向面24aに設けられ、ハウジング20とケース100との間をシールするシール部材60とを備える。プレート50は、プレート50の厚さ方向に貫通する貫通孔52を有している。シール部材60は、シール本体部61からプレート50に向かって延びるとともに貫通孔52に挿入される延在部62と、延在部62に設けられ、プレート50に係合することで貫通孔52からの延在部62の抜け止めをする抜け止め部65とを有している。
(2)コネクタ10の複数の端子30は並列に配置されている。
(3)シール本体部61は、ケース100の外面102に接触するシール面61aを有している。シール面61aは、Z軸方向において、第1延在部63よりも対向面24aから離れた位置に設けられている。
本実施形態は、以下のように変更して実施することができる。本実施形態及び以下の変更例は、技術的に矛盾しない範囲で互いに組み合わせて実施することができる。
・延在部62及び抜け止め部65の個数は、適宜変更できる。

- 機器のケースの外面に取り付けられ、前記機器に電気的に接続されるコネクタであって、
開口、及び前記開口の周縁に設けられ、前記ケースの前記外面に対向する対向面を有するハウジングと、
前記開口から露出する端子と、
前記ハウジングから前記開口の外周側に突出するとともに前記ケースに取り付けられるプレートと、
前記対向面に設けられ、前記開口の周縁を取り囲むとともに前記ハウジングと前記ケースとの間をシールする環状のシール本体部を有するシール部材と、を備え、
前記プレートは、前記プレートの厚さ方向に貫通する貫通孔を有し、
前記シール部材は、前記シール本体部から前記プレートに向かって延びるとともに前記貫通孔に挿入される延在部と、前記延在部に設けられ、前記プレートに係合することで前記貫通孔からの前記延在部の抜け止めをする抜け止め部と、を有している、
