Abstract
Description
また、冊子や帳票などが不要になり廃棄する場合、必要に応じてシュレッダーにより裁断し、そして、焼却処分し、あるいは省資源といった観点から再生紙として再利用するといったことが行われているが、金属製の綴じ針で綴じられたものは、シュレッダーの刃の損傷を避けるため、金属製綴じ針を外す必要があった。また、糊で綴じられたものは、その糊がホットメルトなどの樹脂系糊である場合、焼却の際、有害ガスが発生するので、糊部分の切り落とし作業をしなければならない。
また、一方の金型の歯部の傾斜面部側の谷底部の端部が他方の金型の歯部の山頂部と噛み合うので、紙は金型の歯部の山頂部の端部間と谷底部の端部間で圧縮されることになり、紙の圧縮部に強い結着力が得られ、複数枚の紙を確実に綴じ込むことができる。
また、この金型は、プレス時の騒音も少なく、且つ、コンパクトな装置での綴じ込みが可能となり、手動式の綴じ機器や、スペースの少ないオンデマンドデジタルプリンターのインナー綴じ機器の金型として活用することができる。
本発明の紙の綴じ込み用金型セットは、雑誌や冊子、パンフレット、フリーペーパー、会報誌、記念誌、冊子状チラシ、冊子状新聞、ノートの綴じ込み用として使用できるだけでなく、さらに、紙袋、カートンやダンボールの紙箱における綴じ部分の綴じ込み用としても使用することができる。
また、本発明係る紙の綴じ込み用金型セットは、紙以外に、例えば、プラスチックフィルム、アルミなどを紙に積層した金属性シート材といったものも綴じることができ、プラスチックフィルム、アルミなどを紙に積層した金属性シート材などの綴じ込みにも適用される。
本発明の紙の綴じ込み用金型セットは、対向して配置され、対向面に互いに噛み合い可能な歯部を有する一対の金型からなる。
この一対の金型のそれぞれの対向面に有する歯部は、断面略三角形で所定の幅を有し、対向面に複数連なって設けられている。この歯部にあっては、一対の金型の歯部を噛み合わせたとき、一方の金型の歯部の山頂部と他方の金型の歯部の谷底部との間に隙間が形成されることが好ましい。この隙間は歯部の山頂部を、谷底部よりも曲率の大きい曲面とすることにより形成することができる。
この傾斜面部にあっては、一方の金型に有する歯部の幅方向の一側に設けられ、そして他方の金型に有する歯部には、対向する一方の金型の歯部の傾斜面部の対角線上にある一側に設けられてもよく、また、傾斜面部が一方の金型に有する歯部の幅方向の両側に設けられてもよい。この傾斜面部の傾斜角度にあっては、特に限定されない。
また、一方の金型に有する歯部における傾斜面部側の谷底部に掛かる位置に存在する他方の金型に有する歯部の山頂部にあっては、一方の金型に有する歯部における傾斜面部側の谷底部に掛かる限り、その位置は限定されない。例えば、他方の金型に有する歯部の山頂部は、一方の金型に有する歯部における傾斜面部側の谷底部の途中まで存在していてもよく、または、傾斜面部側の谷底部を越える位置まで存在していてもよい。
図1乃至図9は本発明に係る紙の綴じ込み用金型セットの第1実施例を示すものであり、図1は本例の紙の綴じ込み用金型セットを示す正面図、図2は図1の右側面図、図3は本例の一対の金型の歯部を噛み合わせた状態を示す正面図、図4は図3の一部拡大図、図5は図3の右側面図、図6は本例の金型の歯部を示す一部省略拡大斜視図、図7は本例の一対の金型の軸がずれた状態における歯部の噛み合わせ状態を示し、(A)は上側の金型が一方にずれた状態を示す説明図であり、(B)は上側の金型が他方にずれた状態を示す説明図、図8は本例の金型で紙を圧縮した状態を示す一部拡大断面図、図9は本例の金型で紙を圧縮した状態を示す歯部幅方向縦断面図である。
この歯部5,6にあっては、本例では山頂部7と谷底部8がいずれも曲面で形成されており、山頂部7の曲面が谷底8の曲面大きい曲率に形成されており、歯部5,6を噛み合わせたとき、一方の金型1の歯部5の山頂部7と他方の金型2の歯部6の谷底部8との間に隙間Sが形成されるようになっている(図2,図3参照。)。
また、金型1に有する歯部5にあっては、山頂部7が金型2に有する歯部6における傾斜面部9側の谷底部8に掛かる位置まで存在し、また、金型2に有する歯部6にあっては、山頂部7が金型1に有する歯部5における傾斜面部9側の谷底部8に掛かる位置まで存在している。
また、金型1,2に有する歯部5,6の幅方向の一側に有する傾斜面部9の反対側の面部10にあっては、金型1(2)に有する歯部5(6)の山頂部7が、金型2(1)に有する歯部6(5)における傾斜面部9側の谷底部8に掛かる位置まで存在する限り、垂直面でも傾斜面でもよい。本例では、反対側の面部10は垂直面となっている。
また、本例では、歯部5,6の山頂部7の幅方向の両側端部7a,7bと谷底部8の幅方向の両側端部8a,8bは曲面形状となっている。さらに、歯部5,6の側面、即ち、傾斜面部9及び反対側の面部10と側壁面部13とで形成される角部14も曲面形状となっている(図6参照。)。
一対の金型1,2で重ねた複数枚の紙15を厚さ方向両側から強く加圧し、金型1,2の歯部5,6を噛み合わせることにより、複数枚の紙15は歯部5,6により圧縮され、歯部5,6の側壁面部13間で強く上下方向に加圧されることになる。これにより重ねられている複数枚の紙15が強く擦れ合い、表面の繊維が露出して絡んで圧縮されることにより圧縮部16が一体化し、重なり合う紙15同士がしっかりと結着する。そして、圧縮されて生じる紙15の余剰繊維が金型1の歯部5の山頂部7と金型2の歯部6の谷底部8との間に形成される隙間Sに逃げることにより、この部分における紙15の綴じ込み強度の低下が防止されることになる(図8参照。)。
また、金型1,2に有する歯部5,6の幅方向の一側に有する傾斜面部9の反対側の面部10にあっては、金型1(2)に有する歯部5(6)の山頂部7が、金型2(1)に有する歯部6(5)における傾斜面部9側の谷底部8に掛かる位置まで存在する限り、垂直面でも傾斜面でもよい。本例では、反対側の面部10は傾斜面となっている。
他の作用効果は、第1実施例と同様であり、第1実施例の説明を援用する。
また、金型2に有する歯部6の幅方向の両側の面部10は、本例では傾斜面となっている。

また、本例では、金型1に有する歯部5の幅方向の両側が、歯部5の山頂部7に向かって狭幅方向に傾斜する傾斜面部9となっているので、歯部5の山頂部7の幅は金型2に有する歯部6の山頂部7の幅より短く、金型1の歯部5の山頂部7は金型2の歯部6の山頂部7の幅内にあるので、金型1と金型2の対向軸がずれても、金型1の歯部5の山頂部7が金型2の歯部6の山頂部7の幅内にある限り、金型1の歯部5と金型2の歯部6を確実に噛み合わせることができる。
他の作用効果は、第2実施例と同様であり、第2実施例の説明を援用する。
また、金型2に有する歯部6の幅方向の両側の面部10は、本例では傾斜面となっている。

本例の紙の綴じ込み用金型セットは、基本構成を前述した第3実施例と同じくするものであり、図22において、前述した第3実施例と対応する部分には同一の符号を付し、その説明を省略する。
また、金型1,2に有する歯部5,6の幅方向の一側に有する傾斜面部9の反対側の面部10にあっては、金型1(2)に有する歯部5(6)の山頂部7が、金型2(1)に有する歯部6(5)における傾斜面部9側の谷底部8に掛かる位置まで存在する限り、垂直面でも傾斜面でもよい。本例では、反対側の面部10は垂直面となっている。

Claims (4)
- 対向して配置され、対向面に互いに噛み合い可能な歯部を有する一対の金型からなり、この一対の金型で重ねた複数枚の紙を厚さ方向両側から加圧し、一対の金型の歯部を噛み合わせることにより、複数枚の紙を綴じ込む紙の綴じ込み用金型セットであって、前記一対の金型のそれぞれの対向面に有する歯部は、断面略三角形で所定の歯幅を有し、対向面に複数連なって設けられており、前記一対の金型のそれぞれの対向面に有する歯部のうち、一方の金型に有する歯部にあっては、歯幅方向の一側または両側が、歯部の山頂部に向かって狭幅方向に傾斜する傾斜面部となっており、この歯部に対向する他方の金型に有する歯部にあっては、少なくとも、歯部の山頂部が前記一方の金型に有する歯部における傾斜面部側の谷底部に掛かる位置まで存在していることを特徴とする紙の綴じ込み用金型セット。
- 前記一対の金型の歯部を有するそれぞれの対向面には、歯部の幅方向の一側または両側に、歯部の谷底部と略同一面となる平坦面が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の紙の綴じ込み用金型セット。
- 前記歯部の山頂部の幅方向の両側端部と谷底部の幅方向の両側端部は曲面形状となっていることを特徴とする請求項1または2のいずれか1に記載の紙の綴じ込み用金型セット。
- 前記一対の金型のうち、一方の金型は歯車形状となっており、他方の金型は、直線形状となっていることを特徴とする請求項1,2または3のいずれか1に記載の紙の綴じ込み用金型セット。
