Definitions
- the present invention relates to an adhesive rubber layer in which a core wire is embedded so as to form a spiral having a pitch in the belt width direction, a compression rubber layer as a pulley contact portion provided on the inner surface side of the belt, and a belt of the contact rubber layer
- the present invention relates to a friction transmission belt having a back rubber layer which is a belt back surface portion provided on the outer peripheral side.
- Friction transmission belts such as V-ribbed belts generally have a laminated structure of an adhesive rubber layer in which a core wire is embedded and a compressed rubber layer that is a pulley contact portion.
- Patent Document 1 when the belt is subjected to tension or bending force at the interface between the adhesive rubber layer and the compressed rubber layer, stress concentrates on a specific portion of the interface, causing a crack in the belt. Therefore, in order to reduce the difference in elastic modulus between the adhesive rubber layer and the compressed rubber layer, it is disclosed that fibrillated short fibers made of aramid fiber, cotton or silk are blended in the adhesive rubber layer.
- the power transmission capability of the belt back surface portion can be enhanced by laminating the belt back surface portion of the rubber composition on the outer side of the adhesive rubber layer.
- Patent Document 2 discloses that a monofilament having a flat cross section is embedded in the back rubber layer of the V-ribbed belt, thereby preventing the occurrence of vertical tearing of the rib rubber at the groove portion of the V-rib. It is described.
- the friction transmission belt with the back rubber layer coated on the back of the belt has different elastic moduli between the adhesive rubber layer and the back rubber layer. Therefore, when the belt is subjected to tensile or bending force, the interface between the adhesive rubber layer and the back rubber layer is specified. There is a problem that stress concentrates on the portion, which causes cracks in the back rubber layer of the belt and separation of the core wire and the adhesive rubber layer.
- the elastic modulus is adjusted by appropriately mixing short fibers in the back rubber layer of the belt, and the difference in elastic modulus of each rubber composition forming the adhesive rubber layer and the back rubber layer is determined. It is known to make it smaller.
- a joint portion is provided on the back rubber sheet in order to orient the short fibers in one direction, and the thickness of the back rubber layer is uniform around the joint portion. Instead, there are irregularities on the surface of the back rubber layer. For this reason, when friction transmission is performed on the back surface of the belt, abnormal noise is generated at the level difference of the joint portion, and the joint portion is intensively loaded, which may cause the back rubber layer to peel off. Further, since the back rubber layer is a thin layer, the dispersion of short fibers is poor, which causes a reduction in belt durability.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a friction transmission belt excellent in durability, in which cracks and separation hardly occur even when subjected to tensile and bending forces in a friction transmission belt whose back surface is covered with a back rubber layer. It is.
- the friction transmission belt of the present invention that achieves the above object includes an adhesive rubber layer in which a core wire is embedded so as to form a spiral having a pitch in the belt width direction, and a pulley provided on the belt inner surface side of the adhesive rubber layer A compression rubber layer as a contact portion, and a back rubber layer as a belt back portion provided on the belt outer peripheral side of the adhesive rubber layer, Tensile at 10% elongation measured at an ambient temperature of 25 ° C. according to JIS K 6251 in the belt length direction of the rubber composition forming the adhesive rubber layer with respect to the rubber composition forming the back rubber layer The stress ratio is 1.77 or more.
- the friction transmission belt of the present invention may have a thickness of the back rubber layer of 0.3 to 0.5 mm.
- the back rubber layer may not contain short fibers.
- the ratio of the tensile stress at 10% elongation measured at an ambient temperature of 25 ° C. to the rubber composition forming the back rubber layer of the rubber composition forming the adhesive rubber layer is 1.77 or more. Therefore, it is possible to effectively suppress the occurrence of cracks and separation due to stress concentration at a specific portion of the interface between the adhesive rubber layer and the back rubber layer, and excellent durability can be obtained.
