Abstract

Home squeezer for waste is intented for compacting home rubbish. The purpose is realized by squeezing slab (5). The reciprocating movement of the squeezing slab (5) is caused by an electric driven scissors (4) mechanism.

Description

Home Squeezer For Waste
Technical solution presented here refer to waste recycling machines, especially rubbish compactors. The authors are conscious, that such solutions do already exist as huge, industrial, stationary or moveable machines, such as lorries used to transport garbage, in which the move of a pressing element is made by hydraulic systems.
The invention, proposed by the authors, is mainly different f om machines mentioned above, because of its size. Home Squeezer For Waste is a small machine, which can be used, for example, at a house-keeping of an average user. The movement of the pressing element is made by an electric engine.
The machine consist of:
- A garbage container [3], in which the exchangeable, plastic bag [6] is spread
- A removable lid [1], in which the driving mechanism is incorporated [2]
- A pressing element [4]
There is a hole in the lid, by which throwing out the garbage is possible. The hole is covered by self-closing door on hinges. Self-closing of the door is assured by the spring (curved metal).
Driving mechanism [2] consist of:
- A low tension electric engine, which works on a low voltage electric current. The driving mechanism is connected with the electrical system (of 220 V) by the mean of an adapter, which changes the level of voltage.
- A switch, which turns on or off the electric current.
- An electronic system, which controls the working of the engine and is able to change the direction of the engine rotations or to turn it (the engine) off, whenever any of the three switches, connected with the system would suddenly work. The switches are: two extreme switches and one overloading switch.
- A cog transmission, which transfer the drive f om the engine to the pressing system.
The pressing system [4], which movement does not overtake 60% of the container height, is the scissors mechanism connected with a squeezing slab [5]. The size of the squeezing slab fits to the size of the inside of the container, with the indispensable spare. Working of the Home Squeezer For Waste:
When some amount of garbage fill the container, the user turns the machine on with the switch. The squeezing slab move from the cover to the bottom of the container, and compact the waste.
When there is a small amount of rubbish in the container, the extreme switch will work and the controlling system will change the direction of the engine rotations and will make the slab go towards the lid, where the second extreme switch will work.
When there is so big amount of rubbish in the container, that the movement of the squeezing slab on the whole length of the container is impossible, the overloading switch will work and then the controlling system will change the direction of the engine rotations, and the squeezing slab will go back to the initial position.
When the container is fully filled with the rubbish, the user should separate the lid from the container and empty the container. The squeezed rubbish in a plastic, one-use-only bag should be thrown out to the big, collective container for rubbish.
Preparing the machine to another working cycle:
The user should spread a new plastic bag inside the container, clean the squeezing slab, and join the lid with the container together. In that way the machine is again ready to work (to squeeze waste).

The claim refers to the invention which realizes the mechanical process of compacting home rubbish by squeezing it with a squeezing slab, which movement is caused by an electric driven scissors mechanism.
