have invented a new and valuable Improvement in Brackets; and'I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and' exaetrd'escxiption of the construction and operation of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawings, making a part of this specification, nd to the letters and figures of reference marked 511360115,

` The/object of my invention is to provide better means than have heretofore been known, or used, for attaching stages or` platforms upon the roofs of buildings.

To this end, I have constructed a bracket in the form shown on the drawings. It is slightly curved at its point, A, and is sharpened at said point, in order that it may be easily forced under the buts or exposed ends of the shingles.
