Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a distinct transfer image on transfer paper by only two processes, by reducing an electric field intensity difference between an exposed part and an unexposed part, and allowing a sufficient toner to adhere to the unexposed part, as well, and transferring directly the adhering toner of the unexposed part to the transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:A laminated photosensitive body 1 is constituted of a transparent base substance 2, a transparent conductive layer 3, and a photoconductive layer 4, and a conductive sleeve 6 for holding an electrified toner on the surface is placed through an air-gap to as to be opposed to the layer 4. Also, to the layer 3 and the sleeve 6, a bias voltage applying power source 7 is connected, and on the base substance 2 side, an image exposure use light source or an optical system 8 is provided. Moreover, to the layer 3, a bias voltage whose polarity is opposite to that of the toner 5 is applied, and also, on the inside of the sleeve 6, a magnet roller 9 for holding and carrying the toner 5 is provided. In such a way, when a developing gap, thickness of the layer 4, and a bias voltage are denoted as l, (t) and E, respectively, the electric field intensity SL of an exposed part, and the electric field intensity SD of an unexposed part become E/l, and E/(l+t), respectively, and the toner 5 adheres to the whole surface of the layer 4.
