Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable copying operation to be repeated for a long period by forming an interlayer on a selenium type photosensitive layer roughened on the surface by grinding. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is formed by successively laminating on a supporting body the selenium type photosensitive layer roughened on the surface by attaching a proper abrasive material, such as Al2O3, Cr2O3, or SiO2, to a grinding brush and buffing it, the interlayer on this roughened layer, and a transparent protective layer obtained by dispersing a conductive powder into a resin. It is preferred to control the surface roughness Rz of the photosensitive layer to 0.05-0.50mum, thus permitting adhesion between the interlayer and the photosensitive layer to be improved, the transparent protective layer not to be peeled from the photosensitive layer and copying operation to be repeated for a long period.
