Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a received picture which has no break in a subscanning direction by synthesizing signals of CCDs by a one-main-scanning synthesis part as picture signals scanning in the same surface. CONSTITUTION:On a common image pickup surface a little bit in front of the part of an original setting base 17 where an original is mounted, a correction mark 15 is formed and CCDs 11 and 12 take partial charge of photodetection in areas 13 and 14 respectively. From correction mark signals generated by the CCDs, a shift in a subscanning direction is detected by a shift detector 33. Then, the detector 33 writes the signal of the CCD12 in the 1st memory (a) of a CCD storage device 35 and the signal of the CCD12 regarding the next scan in the 2nd memory (b), and this operation is continued until a marker detection part 31 detects the correction marker signal in the signal from the CCD11. The detection part 33 controls the storage part 35 to output the signal of the CCD12 from the memory (a), and a one-scan synthesis part 36 synthesizes the output signal of the CCD12 to generate a one-scanning length signal.
