Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a titled steel plate of appearance characteristics such as flatness, uniformity of gloss and the like by subjecting a cold rolled steel plate provided with rugged patterns to a metal hot dipping then to tension leveing after an alloying treatment. CONSTITUTION:A steel plate 2 which is beforehand applied with rugged patterns is un-coiled from a payoff reel 11, and is immersed in a metal hot dipping bath 14 via an annealing reduction furnace 12. The thickness of the layer is controlled by the gas ejecting from gas wiping nozzles 15. The one which requires an alloying treatment is fed into an alloying treatment furnace 16, so that it receives the treatment. Thence, the plated steel plate is fed into a tension leveler 17, where it is repeatedly bent and flattened by means of leveling roll 20 groups while suitable tension is given thereto by means of bride rolls 18, 19. This steel plate is coiled on a take-up reel 21. The weakening of contrast and the occurrence of gloss irregularities by the decrease in the height of the projecting parts of the steel plate 2 passing through the leveler 17 are obviated.
