Abstract
PURPOSE:To let molten metal from a ladle flow into the tundish without oxidizing the same by air and obviate pouring of slag into a slab forming device by providing an upper limit ingate, lower limit ingate and molten steel pouring nozzle in the tundish of the continuous casting machine. CONSTITUTION:An upper limit ingate 12 is provided to the upper part in a tundish 5 and a lower limit ingate 13 to the bottom part. A long nozzle 11 is fixed to the top cover of the tundish and the lower limit is dipped in molten metal. Its upper limit is coupled to the tapping nozzle 2 of a ladle 1. As a result of this, the molten steel flow in the upper part of the tundish 5 becomes active, by which the floating of inclusions is accelerated and only the clean molten metal passes in the spacing between the upper limit ingate 12 and lower limit ingate 13 and is led to a tundish nozzle 7.
