Abstract

PURPOSE: To effect a parking brake of a special motorcar for operations at night or at works in highly reliable by providing in a compressed air passageway, communicating a relay-valve with a cylinder chamber of an air-master, with an electromagnetic valve, closed upon being excited, for brake locking.
CONSTITUTION: In case some operation is effected after a special motorcar is stopped, a brake valve 3 is trodden and compressed air is supplied from a passageway 9 to a cylinder chamber 7 of an air-master 5 in order to make a braking condition, thereafter, a hand brake is pulled and thereby a side-brake switch 15 and a brake- lock operating switch 14 are closed. When an operation switch 13 is being closed and an engine is being operated under above-described braking condition, an electromagnetic valve 12 for brake locking is activated and the passageway 9 is closed, therefore, high pressure compressed air is kept in a passageway 9b. Thereby, the air-master 5 receiving high pressure compressed air is driven and a brake-wheel cylinder 6 is operated, thus, the braking of the motorcar may be locked securely.
