Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a thermosensitive recording head which has good printing quality and thermal responding property but low cost and can be mass-produced, by providing a heating resistor layer of a thick film and electrode conductors of thin films.
CONSTITUTION: A heater 1 is made of a thick film resistor on a base plate 4 of ceramic or the like. A common electrode 3' and an electric conductor 3 are made of thick films and located off the heater 1. The heater 1 is connected to the common electrode 3' by a thin film of electric conductor 9 and connected to the electric conductor 3 by another thin film of electric conductor 9. A protective layer 5 is provided on them. Since the electrodes 9 are loacted on the top of the heater 1, heat is generated on the top of the heater 1, namely, on its part nearest to thermosensitive recording paper and very little heat is transferred through the base plate 4. This results improving thermal efficiency.
