Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Adsorbent 16' containing active carbon 23 in a cylindrical vessel 22 covering both sides with metallic nets 21 is placed on the passage of combustion gas in a heat exchanger 20. Moreover, down the gas passage through the adsorbent 16' is placed a catalyst 15' which contains a plurality of square holes and carries metals of platinum group on the surface of ceramic sintering elements. Thus, fresh gas and incomplete combustible part contained in the combustible gas are adsorbed in the adsorbent 16' and the remaining fresh gas and incomplete conbustible gas, etc. are oxidized by the catalyst 15'.
