Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic tile having various, sharp, precise and accurate colors and patterns with durability at a low cost by a simple and convenient method. SOLUTION: A lower coating layer 2 is formed by applying an epoxy resin in such a manner that the surface of the layer 2 is made flat on a ceramic tile base 1 which is first sintered. Then, a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate added with a small amt. of unsatd. dicarboxylic acid is dissolved in a usual org. solvent and the obtd. liquid is applied on the layer 2 to form an adhesive layer 3. Then, a plastic film layer 6 usually used for heat transfer process is applied on the adhesive layer 3 in such a manner that a printed ink layer 5 formed by gravure printing is present under the plastic film layer 6, and that an adhesive layer 4 having the same properties as those of the adhesive layer 3 for the lower coating layer 2 is present for the printed ink layer 5 under the printed ink layer 5. These layers are adhered by a transfer method by heating.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to ceramic tiles having multiple fine and diverse patterns on the surface, and more particularly to a ceramic tile having a primary sintered material that does not require resintering or the like. The present invention relates to a ceramic tile having a fine-pattern printed layer.

2. Description of the Related Art In general, ceramic tiles have a single color surface or have various patterns on the surface, and a ceramic is applied on a primary-sintered ceramic base. It is obtained by resintering the ceramic base, drawing or coloring letters and patterns on it with mineral pigment printing ink, and then resintering the so obtained at high temperature. Can be

[0003] Therefore, in the conventional method, the method is complicated because the ceramic base has to be sintered twice or three times, thereby increasing its manufacturing cost and also its printed or drawn characters. The pattern or pattern is not sharp because of the unevenness of the ceramic base surface, and cannot express fine and clear characters and figures.

[0004] In other words, the surface of the initially sintered base ceramic is so rough that it is difficult to fill and print by transfer methods such as silk screen printing and fine and accurate gravure printing.

[0005] More specifically, in the case of ceramic tiles, the inks for forming the printed surfaces, such as letters and graphics, may be scorched or burned to maintain the original printed pattern or color. It must not volatilize at the high temperatures of sintering ceramics several times and must use mineral pigments, and therefore cannot present various clear and sharp patterns and characters.

An undercoating layer 2 is first formed on a ceramic tile base 1 which has been first sintered by impregnating the surface of this layer 2 with an epoxy resin so that the surface of the layer 2 is flattened. On top of layer 2, an adhesive layer 3 for this layer 2 is formed, and then a layer 6 of a conventional plastic film for thermal transfer is placed on top of this adhesive layer 3 and a layer of gravure printing ink for thermal transfer underneath. 5 is printed and laminated under this printing ink layer 5 such that a layer 4 of an adhesive for the printing ink layer 5 of the same composition as that for the lower coating layer 2 is coated. The adhesive layer 4 faces the adhesive layer 3 for the lower covering layer 2;
The resulting material is transferred by heating,
The film was removed, and a conventional transparent coating layer containing a typical UV absorber (hereinafter, referred to as "the following") was formed on the exposed printing surface.

According to the ceramic tile of the present invention,
Since the lower coating layer 2, the adhesive layer 4 for the printing ink layer 5, the gravure printing ink layer 5 and the UV coating layer 6 are formed in this order on the first sintered ceramic base 1, the surface is rough. It has a flat, sharp and clear multi-colored design, and has excellent corrosion resistance due to the UV coating layer, and has excellent abrasion resistance and strength without causing scratches and cracks.

In addition, since multiple sintering processes are not performed, as is the case with conventional multiple-sintered ceramic tiles, they can be easily and conveniently manufactured, thereby reducing fuel and operating costs. And the cost goes down,
At the same time, mass production is possible by shortening the manufacturing time.

In addition, an adhesive layer 3 for the undercoat layer
And since the adhesive layer 4 for the printing ink layer 5 is made of a material having the same properties and has excellent adhesion to metals, it is adhered by the lower coating layer 2 of the tile base 1 and the thermal transfer method. The printing ink layers 5 of the film layer 6 are strongly adhered to each other without separation.
