Description
まず、二次電池の各構成は以下の通りである。
正極板は、正極芯体としてのアルミニウム箔の両面に正極活物質層が形成されている。
正極活物質層は、正極活物質としてのLiNi0.35Co0.35Mn0.30O2、導電剤としての炭素材料、及び結着材としてのポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)を含有する。また、それぞれの含有割合(質量%)は、LiNi0.35Co0.35Mn0.30O2/炭素材料/PVDF=90/7/3のものを用いた。負極板には、負極芯体としての銅箔の両面に負極活物質層が形成されている。負極活物質層は、黒鉛、カルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC)及びスチレンブタジエンゴム(SBR)を含有する。また、それぞれの含有割合(質量%)は、黒鉛/CMC/SBR=98/1/1のものを用いた。セパレータ30は、ポリプロピレン(PP)/ポリエチレン(PE)/ポリプロピレン(PP)の3層構造のものを用いた。また、非水電解液としては、エチレンカーボネート(EC)/エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)/ジメチルカーボネート(DMC)=30/30/40vol%である混合溶媒に、添加剤として0.3vol%のビニレンカーボネート(VC)が含有されているものを用いた。また、非水電解液は、溶質としてのLiPF6が1.2Mとなるように含有されているものを用いた。また、正極集電体40はアルミニウムにより形成し、以下の実施例5,6を除いて、幅が7.9mmで厚さが1.4mmのものを用いた。負極集電体50は銅により形成し、幅が8.3mmで厚さが0.80mmのものを用いた。また、外装体として、厚みが18mm、幅が150mm、高さが65mmのものを用いた。
試験方法として、1.4mの落下高さから、正極端子15及び負極端子16を下にして二次電池10を離して落下させた。また、電極体20と封口板14から電極体20側へ突出する突起物との最小距離は2mmとした。このとき、環境温度は25℃とした。表1に落下試験の結果を示している。
図7の(a)に示すように、封口板14の短手方向(図7の(a)における左右方向)において、第1絶縁部材61の外面よりも第1リード部42の外面が外側(外装体12側)に位置することが好ましい。即ち、封口板14の短手方向において、第1リード部42と外装体12の最短距離が、第1絶縁部材61と外装体12との最短距離よりも小さいことが好ましい。これにより、第1傾斜部44の長さをより長くできる。
Claims (4)
- 正極板と、
負極板と、前記正極板及び前記負極板を電気的に隔てるセパレータとを含む、扁平状の発電素子と、
前記発電素子が内部に配置される外装体と、
前記外装体の開口を閉塞する封口体と、
前記正極板に電気的に接続される正極集電体と、
前記負極板に電気的に接続される負極集電体と、
非水電解質とを備え、
前記正極集電体及び前記負極集電体の少なくとも一方の集電体は、前記封口体の付近に配置される一方側ベース部と、前記一方側ベース部の一端部に連結されて前記発電素子側に向かうように配置される一方側リード部とを含み、
前記一方側リード部は、前記発電素子の側面に接合される一方側発電素子接合部と、前記一方側発電素子接合部から前記発電素子の厚み方向外側に向かうように前記厚み方向に対し傾斜した一方側傾斜部とを有し、
前記発電素子と、前記発電素子に含まれる前記非水電解質との質量の和が200g以上、500g以下であり、
前記一方の集電体は、前記正極集電体であり、
前記正極集電体は、アルミニウム又はアルミニウム合金製であり、かつヤング率は、65GPa以上75GPa以下であり、かつ前記一方側リード部における断面二次モーメントは1.4×10−12m4以上で、6.2×10−12m4以下であり、
前記正極集電体は、前記一方側傾斜部において、前記発電素子の前記厚み方向側面と対面する部分から前記厚み方向に対し傾斜したときの前記厚み方向に対する前記一方側傾斜部の傾斜角をθとし、前記厚み方向との関係で前記傾斜角を決定する前記一方側傾斜部の傾斜方向に沿った距離であって、前記一方側傾斜部の前記一方側発電素子接合部側の端から前記一方側ベース部側の端までの距離である傾斜方向距離をdとしたときに、
d×cosθの値が4.6mm以上、10.8mm以下である、非水電解質二次電池。 - 正極板と、
負極板と、前記正極板及び前記負極板を電気的に隔てるセパレータとを含む、扁平状の発電素子と、
前記発電素子が内部に配置される外装体と、
前記外装体の開口を閉塞する封口体と、
前記正極板に電気的に接続される正極集電体と、
前記負極板に電気的に接続される負極集電体と、
非水電解質とを備え、
前記非水電解質は非水電解液であり、
前記正極集電体及び前記負極集電体の少なくとも一方の集電体は、前記封口体の付近に配置される一方側ベース部と、前記一方側ベース部の一端部に連結されて前記発電素子側に向かうように配置される一方側リード部とを含み、
前記一方側リード部は、前記発電素子の側面に接合される一方側発電素子接合部と、前記一方側発電素子接合部から前記発電素子の厚み方向外側に向かうように前記厚み方向に対し傾斜した一方側傾斜部とを有し、
前記発電素子と、前記発電素子に含まれる前記非水電解液との質量の和が200g以上、500g以下であり、
さらに、前記封口体に形成された注液孔を封止するように前記封口体に取り付けられたリベットを備え、
前記一方の集電体は、前記正極集電体であり、
前記リベットの前記発電素子側端の端面は、前記一方の集電体における前記一方側ベース部の前記発電素子側端の端面よりも前記発電素子に近くなっている、非水電解質二次電池。 - 請求項1または請求項2に記載の非水電解質二次電池において、
前記正極集電体及び前記負極集電体の他方の集電体は、前記封口体の付近に配置される他方側ベース部と、前記他方側ベース部の一端部に連結されて前記発電素子側に向かうように配置される他方側リード部とを含み、
前記他方側リード部は、前記発電素子の側面に接合される他方側発電素子接合部と、前記他方側発電素子接合部から前記発電素子の厚み方向外側に向かうように前記厚み方向に対し傾斜した他方側傾斜部とを有する、非水電解質二次電池。 - 請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の非水電解質二次電池において、
前記発電素子は、前記封口体側の端部が断面円弧形である巻回電極体であり、
かつ、前記巻回電極体の厚みは前記非水電解質を含んだ状態で10mm以上で、30mm以下であり、
かつ、前記巻回電極体の幅は100mm以上で、200mm以下である、非水電解質二次電池。
