Description
[1]リートベルト解析により求まる結晶子サイズが95nm以下であり、格子ひずみが0.0020以下であるαアルミナ。
[2]窒素吸着法によるBET比表面積が10m2/g以下である前記[1]に記載のαアルミナ。
[3]体積基準の累積50%相当粒子径D50が2μm以下である前記[1]又は[2]に記載のαアルミナ。
[4]前記[1]〜[3]のいずれかに記載のαアルミナ、バインダー及び溶媒を含むスラリー。
[5]前記[1]〜[3]のいずれかに記載のαアルミナを含む多孔膜。
[6]セパレータ及び前記セパレータの少なくとも1つの表面に積層された前記[5]に記載の多孔膜を備える積層セパレータ。
[7]正極、負極、非水電解液及びセパレータを含む非水電解液二次電池であって、
前記[5]に記載の多孔膜が、前記正極、前記負極及び前記セパレータの少なくとも1つの表面に形成された非水電解液二次電池。
[8]正極、負極、非水電解液及びセパレータを含む非水電解液二次電池の製造方法であって、
前記[4]に記載のスラリーを、前記正極、前記負極及び前記セパレータの少なくとも1つの表面に塗工する工程、及び、前記スラリーを乾燥して前記表面に多孔膜を形成する工程を含む方法。
本発明のαアルミナは、リートベルト解析により求まる結晶子サイズが95nm以下であり、格子ひずみが0.0020以下である。前記リートベルト解析の具体的な方法は以下の通りである。
Halder−Wagnerの式:
(β/tanθ)2=(Kλ/D)×β/(tanθsinθ)+16ε2
前記Halder−Wagnerの式において、βは積分幅であり、θは2θ/θ法によるX線回折測定時の回折角であり、Kはシェラー定数であり、λはX線の波長であり、Dは結晶子サイズであり、εは格子ひずみである。前記Halder−Wagnerの式におけるシェラー定数Kは4/3とし、X線の波長λは1.50406Åとする。
α相:2θ=57.5°
θ相:2θ=32.7°
δ相:2θ=36.5°
γ相:2θ=45.4°
κ相:2θ=42.9°
実施例1と比較例1については粉砕後のアルミナ粉末に対して、比較例2については未粉砕アルミナ粉末に対して、2θ/θ法によるX線回折測定を実施し、X線回折プロファイルの実測データを得た。X線回折測定には、ブルカー製D8 ADVANCEを用い、X線源としてCuKα線を用い、測定時の電圧は40kV、電流は40mAとした。スキャンは連続測定法で、2θが5〜80°の範囲で行い、スキャンスピードは5sとし、ステップ幅を0.020°とした。前記XRD回折プロファイルを、RIETAN−FP v2.63を用いたリートベルト法により解析した結果から、2θの値が40°から80°までのピークについて、各ピークの2θの値と積分幅を求め、上述したHalder−Wagner法によって結晶子サイズと格子ひずみを評価した。
水酸化アルミニウム粉末、原料アルミナ粉末、原料アルミナ粉末を粉砕して得られたアルミナ粉末、及び未粉砕アルミナ粉末について、比表面積測定装置として、島津製作所社製の「フローソーブIII 2310」を使用し、JIS−Z8830(2013)に規定された方法に従って、窒素吸着法一点法により、窒素吸着BET比表面積を求めた。各測定条件は以下の通りとした。
キャリアガス:窒素/ヘリウム混合ガス
充填試料量:0.1g
試料の前処理条件:200℃で20分処理
窒素吸着温度:液体窒素温度(−196℃以下)
窒素脱着温度:室温(約20℃)
水吸着BET比表面積の測定は、マイクロトラック・ベル(株)製の「BELSORP−18」を使用して、多点法により求めた。各測定条件は以下の通りとし、水の吸着断面積0.125nm2、水吸着BET比表面積の解析範囲は相対圧P/P0=0.1〜0.3として、水吸着BET比表面積を算出し、前記水吸着BET比表面積を前記(2)で算出された窒素吸着BET比表面積で除して比を求めた。
各測定条件は以下のとおりとした。
充填試料量:1g
試料の前処理条件:真空下、150℃で5時間処理
恒温槽温度:50℃
吸着温度:25℃
飽和蒸気圧:3.169kPa
吸着平衡時間:500秒
レーザー粒度分布測定装置としてマイクロトラック・ベル(株)製「マイクロトラックMT3300EXII」を用いて、レーザー回折法により、水酸化アルミニウム粉末、原料アルミナ粉末、及び未粉砕アルミナ粉末を粉砕して得られたアルミナ粉末の粒度分布を測定し、体積基準の累積百分率50%相当粒子径D50を求めた。また、実施例1及び比較例1の原料アルミナ粉末を粉砕して得られたアルミナ粉末、及び比較例2の未粉砕アルミナ粉末については、体積基準の累積百分率90%相当粒子径D90も求めた。測定用の試料としては、0.2質量%のヘキサメタ燐酸ソーダ水溶液に、測定対象となる粉末をレーザー散乱強度が適切になるように添加し、装置内蔵超音波40Wで5分間分散処理した粉末分散液を用いた。水酸化アルミニウムの屈折率は1.57、アルミナの屈折率は1.76とした。
N−メチル−2−ピロリドン(NMP)溶媒に、PVDF−HFP(ポリ(フッ化ビニリデン−ヘキサフルオロプロピレン)、Solvay社製、Solef21510)が2質量%となるように溶解させた溶液を得て、更に前記PVDF−HFPがアルミナ100質量部に対して10質量部となる割合で、前記溶液にアルミナ粉末を添加して撹拌混合し、スラリーを得た。前記スラリーを、レーザー粒度分布測定装置〔マイクロトラック・ベル(株)製「マイクロトラックMT3300EXII」〕を用いてレーザー回折法により測定し、前記スラリー中のアルミナの粒度分布を測定し、体積基準の累積百分率50%相当粒子径D50と、体積基準の累積百分率90%相当粒子径D90、体積基準の累積百分率100%相当粒子径D100を求めた。前記スラリーは、装置内蔵超音波40Wで5分間分散処理して測定用試料として用いた。アルミナの屈折率は1.76とした。
バイヤー法によって、体積基準の累積百分率50%相当粒子径D50が4μm、BET比表面積が1.7m2/g、Na量が0.03質量%の水酸化アルミニウム粉末を得て、前記水酸化アルミニウム粉末をトンネル炉で1280℃で2時間焼成し、BET比表面積が3.8m2/g、体積基準の累積百分率50%相当粒子径D50が5μmの原料アルミナ粉末を得た。

粉砕時のエアー供給口のゲージ圧力:0.7MPa
バイヤー法によって、体積基準の累積百分率50%相当粒子径D50が50μm、BET比表面積が0.2m2/g、Na量が0.13質量%の水酸化アルミニウム粉末を得て、前記水酸化アルミニウム粉末を回転炉で焼成し、BET比表面積が3.7m2/g、体積基準の累積百分率50%相当粒子径D50が54μmの原料アルミナ粉末を得た。

比較例1と同様の条件を採用したバイヤー法により、体積基準の累積百分率50%相当粒子径D50が50μm、BET比表面積が0.2m2/g、Na量が0.13質量%の水酸化アルミニウム粉末を得て、前記水酸化アルミニウム粉末を回転炉で焼成し、BET比表面積が3.7m2/g、体積基準の累積百分率50%相当粒子径D50が54μmの原料アルミナ粉末を得た。

- 体積基準の累積50%相当粒子径D50が2μm以下である請求項1又は2に記載のαアルミナ。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のαアルミナ、バインダー及び溶媒を含むスラリー。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のαアルミナを含む多孔膜。
- セパレータ及び前記セパレータの少なくとも1つの表面に積層された請求項5に記載の多孔膜を備える積層セパレータ。
- 正極、負極、非水電解液及びセパレータを含む非水電解液二次電池であって、
