Description
液晶表示装置は、液晶表示パネルPNLと、液晶表示パネルPNLを背面側から照明するバックライトBLTと、を備えている。そして液晶表示パネルPNLには、マトリクス状に配置された表示画素PXを含む表示部が設けられている。
Claims (4)
- 横電界方式の液晶表示装置であって、
複数の液晶画素と、当該液晶画素に供給する画素電圧を断続するTFTと、をマトリクス状に配列した表示パネルと、
間欠駆動によって前記液晶画素への画像信号を書き換える制御部と、を備え、
フレーム周波数が10Hz以上で20Hz以下の値であり、
前記TFTのオフリーク電流が1×10−15以上で1×10−14A以下であり、
前記液晶画素に使用される液晶の抵抗率が5×1012以上で5×1014Ω・cm以下の値であり、
前記液晶画素に使用される配向膜の抵抗率が5×1011以上で5×1013Ω・cm以下の値であり、
前記液晶画素に使用される液晶の抵抗R1、液晶の容量C1、配向膜の抵抗R2、配向膜の容量C2との間に、R1×C1>R2×C2なる関係が成立する液晶表示装置。 - 横電界方式の液晶表示装置であって、
