Description
対象物の距離、速度を測定する方式は、実施例2、3に示した方式に限るものではない。距離の測定方式には、従来知られている任意の方式を用いることができる。また、速度の測定方式には、ドップラー周波数fdにより速度を測定する方式であれば任意の方式を用いることができる。

Claims (1)
- 対象物にレーザー光を照射し、前記対象物によって反射されたレーザー光を検出して解析する車載用のレーダ装置において、
前記対象物の運動によるドップラー周波数fdの測定可能な最小値よりも小さな周波数f0の周期信号で強度変調されたレーザー光を前記対象物に照射する送信手段と、
受信したレーザー光と送信前のレーザー光とを合波して光ヘテロダイン検波する第1検波手段と、受信したレーザー光と送信前のレーザー光のうち一方の位相を90°シフトして他方と合波し、光ヘテロダイン検波する第2検波手段とを有した検波手段と、
前記第1検波手段と前記第2検波手段から出力される電気信号をI信号、Q信号とする複素信号として、その複素信号を周波数解析してドップラー周波数fdを求め、そのドップラー周波数fdの正負から前記対象物の速度の方向を測定する周波数解析手段と、
前記検波手段からの前記電気信号のうち、周波数f0近傍の帯域を通過させるBPFを有し、前記BPFからの信号の周波数f0の成分と前記周期信号との位相差を検出し、前記対象物までの距離を測定する位相差検出手段と、
を有し、
前記検波手段および前記送信手段は、光集積回路により構成され、
前記光集積回路は、SiO2 基板上に線路状にSiが形成された光導波路と、前記第1検波手段である第1フォトダイオードと、前記第2検波手段であるπ/2移相器および第2フォトダイオードと、前記送信手段における強度変調の手段であるリングモジュレータと、レーザー光を受信する偏光補正回折格子と、前記偏光補正回折格子からの光のうち前記レーザー光の波長近傍の帯域を透過させる光BPFであるリング共振器とを有し、前記π/2移相器は、前記光導波路とヒータとを有し、
前記レーザー光の波長は800〜1700nmであり、
前記周期信号は、余弦波であり、その周波数f0は50kHz以上500kHz以下である、
ことを特徴とするレーダ装置。
