Description
前記組成式中、MはSrとBaのうちから選択される少なくとも1種であり、Eu添加量(a)は0.1乃至5mol%の範囲であり、M添加量(b)は0.1乃至10mol%の範囲であり、Al組成比(z)は0.1<z<1を満足し、
励起源を照射して500乃至550nmの範囲にピーク波長を有する光を放出し、
Mはドーパントとして蛍光体結晶構造の空隙に添加される、ことを特徴とする。
前記組成式中、MはSrとBaのうちから選択される少なくとも1種であり、Eu添加量(a)は100乃至5000ppmの範囲であり、M添加量(b)は100乃至10000ppmの範囲であり、Al組成比(z)は0.1<z<1を満足し、
励起源を照射して500乃至550nmの範囲にピーク波長を有する光を放出し、
Mはドーパントとして蛍光体結晶構造の空隙に添加される、ことを特徴とする。
1)MはSrとBaのうちから選択される少なくとも1種である。
2)Eu添加量(a)は0.1〜5mol%の範囲である。
3)M添加量(b)は0.1〜5mol%の範囲である。
4)Al組成比(z)は0.1<z<1である。
原料物質Si3N4、AlN、Al2O3、Eu2O3、SrCO3を下記の表1の組成比を満足する化学量論比で秤量して、実施例1による原料物質群を用意する。原料物質群のうちのSrCO3を除いて残りの原料物質を、ボールミルを用いてエタノール溶媒と混合する。
Sr原料物質に関連する事項のみを除き実施例1の条件のうちの1次焼成条件まで工程を同一に行った後、得られた蛍光体を実施例1の条件と同一に粉砕し、後熱処理及び酸洗工程によりSi5.8Al0.2O0.2N7.8:Eu0.0152であるβ−サイアロン蛍光体を製造した。
実施例2〜5では、実施例1の条件と同一に行い、且つ表1の組成比を満足するようにそれぞれSrを1.5mol%、2mol%、3mol%、及び4mol%添加したβ−サイアロン蛍光体を製造した。
比較例2〜4では、SrCO3の代わりにCa含有化合物としてCaCO3を用いることを除いては実施例1と同一の条件と工程により表3の比較例2〜4の組成比を満足するようにそれぞれCaを0.5mol%、1.0mol%、及び1.5mol%添加したβ−サイアロン蛍光体を製造した。
比較例5では、SrCO3の代わりにMg含有化合物としてMgCO3を用いることを除いては実施例1と同一の条件と工程により表3の比較例5の組成比を満足するようにMgを1.0mol%添加したβ−サイアロン蛍光体を製造した。
本実施例では、SrCO3と共にBa含有化合物であるBaCO3を更に用いることを除いては実施例1と同一の条件と工程により表3の実施例6の組成比を満足するようにSr、Baをそれぞれ0.5mol%ずつ添加したβ−サイアロン蛍光体を製造した。
本実施例では、SrCO3の代わりにBa含有化合物であるBaCO3を用いることを除いては実施例1と同一の条件と工程により表3の実施例7の組成比を満足するようにBaを1.0mol%添加したβ−サイアロン蛍光体を製造した。
本実施例では、AlN及びAl2O3を最終蛍光体におけるAl組成比(z)が0.1、0.2、0.3、0.4、0.5、1.0(それぞれ実施例8〜13)となるように秤量し、1次原料混合物に一緒に混合することを除いては実施例1と同一の条件と工程によりβ−サイアロン蛍光体を製造した。
本比較例では、AlN及びAl2O3を最終蛍光体におけるAl組成比(z)が1.5、2.0(それぞれ実施例5及び6)となるように秤量し、1次原料混合物に一緒に混合することを除いては実施例1と同一の条件と工程によりβ−サイアロン蛍光体を製造した。
本実施例では、Eu2O3を最終蛍光体におけるEuモル比(a)が0.65、0.98、1.30、1.52、1.73、1.95、2.17、2.38、2.60、3.90mol%(それぞれ実施例14〜23)となるように秤量し、1次原料混合物に一緒に混合することを除いては実施例1と同一の条件と工程によりβ−サイアロン蛍光体を製造した。

Claims (2)
- β型Si3N4の結晶構造を有し、組成式Si6−zAlzOzN8−z:Eua、Mb(ここで、MはSrとBaのうちから選択される少なくとも1種であり、Eu添加量(a)は0.65乃至3.90mol%の範囲であり、M添加量(b)は1乃至4mol%の範囲であり、Al組成比(z)は0.1乃至1の範囲である)で表される酸窒化物蛍光体を製造するために、Si含有酸化物又は窒化物、Al含有酸化物又は窒化物、Eu含有化合物、及びM含有化合物を含む原料物質を測量する段階と、
前記M含有化合物を除いた前記原料物質を混合して1次混合物を製造する段階と、
前記1次混合物を1次焼成し、該1次焼成の結果物を粉砕する段階と、
前記粉砕された1次焼成の結果物に前記M含有化合物を混合して2次混合物を製造する段階と、
前記2次混合物を2次焼成し、該2次焼成の結果物を粉砕する段階と、を有し、
Mはドーパントとして前記結晶構造の空隙に添加される、ことを特徴とする蛍光体の製造方法。 - 前記1次焼成は1850乃至2300℃の温度範囲で行われ、前記2次焼成は前記1次焼成温度より低い温度で行われることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の蛍光体の製造方法。
