【解決手段】少なくとも以下の組成を有する生体溶解性無機繊維を含む無機繊維、及び有機増粘剤を含み、無機バインダーを含まない無機繊維質定形体。[組成]SiO270〜82重量%、CaO10〜29重量%、MgO1重量%以下、Al2O35重量%未満、SiO2、CaO、MgO、Al2O3の合計98重量%超

Description
1.少なくとも以下の組成を有する生体溶解性無機繊維を含む無機繊維、及び有機増粘剤を含み、無機バインダーを含まない無機繊維質定形体。
[組成]
SiO2 70〜82重量%
CaO 10〜29重量%
MgO 1重量%以下
Al2O3 5重量%未満
SiO2、CaO、MgO、Al2O3の合計 98重量%超
2.さらに定着剤を含む1記載の無機繊維質定形体。
3.前記定着剤が、アルミニウム、マグネシウム、カルシウム、ナトリウム及びカリウムのそれぞれの硫酸塩、硝酸塩、酢酸塩及び塩酸塩から選択される1以上である2記載の無機繊維質定形体。
4.1〜3のいずれか記載の無機繊維質定形体において、有機増粘剤及び定着剤の少なくとも1つの量を変えることにより表面の硬度を調整する方法。
SiO2 66〜82重量%
CaO 10〜34重量%
MgO 3重量%以下
Al2O3 5重量%以下
SiO2、CaO、MgO、Al2O3の合計 98重量%超
SiO2 66〜82重量%(例えば、68〜80重量%、70〜80重量%、71〜80重量%又は71〜76重量%とできる)
CaO 10〜34重量%(例えば、20〜30重量%又は21〜26重量%とできる)
MgO 3重量%以下(例えば、1重量%以下とできる)
Al2O3 5重量%以下(例えば3.5重量%以下又は3重量%以下とできる。また、1重量%以上又は2重量%以上とできる)
他の酸化物 2重量%未満
生理食塩水溶解率は、例えば、次のようにして測定される。すなわち、先ず、無機繊維を200メッシュ以下に粉砕して調製された試料1g及び生理食塩水150mLを三角フラスコ(容積300mL)に入れ、40℃のインキュベーターに設置する。次に、三角フラスコに、毎分120回転の水平振動を50時間継続して加える。その後、ろ過により得られた濾液に含有されている各元素の濃度(mg/L)をICP発光分析装置により測定する。そして、測定された各元素の濃度と、溶解前の無機繊維における各元素の含有量(重量%)と、に基づいて、生理食塩水溶解率(%)を算出する。すなわち、例えば、測定元素が、ケイ素(Si)、マグネシウム(Mg)、カルシウム(Ca)及びアルミニウム(Al)である場合には、次の式により、生理食塩水溶解率C(%)を算出する;C(%)=[ろ液量(L)×(a1+a2+a3+a4)×100]/[溶解前の無機繊維の重量(mg)×(b1+b2+b3+b4)/100]。この式において、a1、a2、a3及びa4は、それぞれ測定されたケイ素、マグネシウム、カルシウム及びアルミニウムの濃度(mg/L)であり、b1、b2、b3及びb4は、それぞれ溶解前の無機繊維におけるケイ素、マグネシウム、カルシウム及びアルミニウムの含有量(重量%)である。
溶媒は通常水を使用し、極性有機溶媒を使用しても一部添加してもよいが、好ましくは水である。水は、通常工業的に使用されるものであればよく、例えば、蒸留水、イオン交換水、水道水、地下水、工業用水である。
(1)フェルトの製造
SiO2を73質量%、CaOを24質量%、MgOを0.3質量%、Al2O3を2質量%含む無機繊維Aと、CMC(有機増粘剤)、澱粉(有機増粘剤)及びアクリルエマルジョン(有機増粘剤)から選択される有機増粘剤とを表1〜3に示す配合量で、水と混合し原料スラリーを調製した。CMCや澱粉は事前に固形分濃度を0.5〜5%に調整し、十分に水に溶解又は膨潤させた状態で添加混合した。
尚、表1〜3では、無機繊維以外の成分の量は、無機繊維Aを100重量部としたときの重量部で示している。水は、無機繊維Aを100重量部としたとき3000重量部用いた。
得られたフェルトについて以下の評価をした。結果を表1〜3に示す。
(i)加熱収縮率
フェルトから取り出した試料(縦150mm、横50mm)を1100℃で24時間焼成した前後で、縦方向の長さを測定して、下記式に基づき求めた。
[(加熱前の測定値−加熱後の測定値)/加熱前の測定値]×100
フェルトから取り出した試料(縦150mm、横50mm)を3点曲げ強度試験機(テンシロン)を用いて、破断荷重を測定し、次式により算出した。
曲げ強度(MPa)={3×最大荷重(N)×支持ロールの中心距離(mm)}/{2×断熱材の幅(mm)×(断熱材の厚さ(mm))2}
アスカーC型ゴム硬度計を、水平に保持したフェルトの表面に、硬度計の押針が鉛直になるようにして加圧面を接触させ、直ちに目盛りを読み取った。5ヶ所の測定値の平均値を試験体の硬さ(°)とした。
表4に示す成分を表4に示す配合量で混合し、脱水成形して、厚み25mmの成形体(ボード)を製造し、参考例1と同様に評価した。結果を表4に示す。
尚、無機繊維Bは、SiO2を53質量%、Al2O3を47質量%含む。
表5,6に示す成分を表5,6に示す配合量で混合し、参考例1と同様にして、厚み25mmのフェルトを製造し評価した。結果を表5,6に示す。
Claims (7)
- 以下の組成を有する生体溶解性無機繊維を少なくとも含む無機繊維、有機増粘剤及び定着剤を、以下の配合で含み、コロイダルシリカを含まない無機繊維質定形体。

SiO2 70〜82重量%
CaO 10〜29重量%
MgO 1重量%以下
Al2O3 5重量%未満
SiO2、CaO、MgO、Al2O3の合計 98重量%超
[配合]
有機増粘剤:無機繊維合計100重量部に対し0.5〜20重量部
定着剤:無機繊維合計100重量部に対し1.0重量部を超えて20重量部以下
有機増粘剤と定着剤の合計:無機繊維合計100重量部に対し4.8〜30重量部 - 前記定着剤が、アルミニウム、マグネシウム、カルシウム、ナトリウム及びカリウムのそれぞれの硫酸塩、硝酸塩、酢酸塩及び塩酸塩から選択される1以上である請求項1記載の無機繊維質定形体。
- 前記有機増粘剤が、セルロース系、アルブミン、カゼイン、アルギン酸、寒天、澱粉、多糖類、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリビニルブチラール、アクリルエマルジョンから選択される1以上である請求項1又は2記載の無機繊維質定形体。
- 前記有機増粘剤が、セルロース系を含む請求項3記載の無機繊維質定形体。
- 前記配合が以下である請求項1〜4のいずれか記載の無機繊維質定形体。
有機増粘剤:無機繊維合計100重量部に対し1〜20重量部
定着剤:無機繊維合計100重量部に対し1.8〜20重量部
有機増粘剤と定着剤の合計:無機繊維合計100重量部に対し4.8〜30重量部 - 前記配合が以下である請求項5記載の無機繊維質定形体。
有機増粘剤:無機繊維合計100重量部に対し3〜20重量部
定着剤:無機繊維合計100重量部に対し1.8〜20重量部
有機増粘剤と定着剤の合計:無機繊維合計100重量部に対し4.8〜30重量部 - 請求項1〜6のいずれか記載の無機繊維質定形体において、有機増粘剤及び定着剤の少なくとも1つの量を変えることにより表面の硬度を調整する方法。
