Description
(2)前記凹部の深さは0.2mmから1mmであることを特徴とする(1)に記載の液晶表示装置。
(3)前記端子部にはフレキシブル配線基板が接続され、前記凹部においてフレキシブル配線基板はTFT基板の下方に曲げられることを特徴とする(1)に記載の液晶表示装置。
(4)前記TFT基板の前記辺と前記凹部の前記端子が並んでいる方向の辺とを結ぶ線は、前記TFTの前記辺に対して鈍角となっていることを特徴とする(1)に記載の液晶表示装置。
(5)前記TFT基板の前記辺と前記凹部の前記端子が並んでいる方向の辺とを結ぶ線にはR状となっている部分が存在することを特徴とする(1)に記載の液晶表示装置。
(7)前記凹部の深さは0.2mmから1mmであることを特徴とする(6)に記載の液晶表示装置。
(8)前記フレキシブル配線基板は前記凹部において前記TFT基板の背面側に曲げられ、さらに前記バックライトの背面に延在することを特徴とする(6)に記載の液晶表示装置。
(9)前記フレキシブル配線基板は前記モールド内において、前記TFT基板の背面方向に曲げられていることを特徴とする(6)に記載の液晶表示装置。
(10)前記フレキシブル配線基板には発光ダイオードが取り付けられ、前記発光ダイオードは前記フレキシブル配線基板が前記バックライト背面に延在することによって、前記バックライトの光源となることを特徴とする(6)に記載の液晶表示装置。
(12)前記凹部の深さは0.2mmから1mmであることを特徴とする(11)に記載の液晶表示装置。
(13)前記フレキシブル配線基板は前記凹部において前記TFT基板の背面側に曲げられ、さらに前記バックライトの背面に延在することを特徴とする(11)に記載の表示装置。
(14)前記フレキシブル配線基板は前記モールド内において、前記TFT基板の背面方向に曲げられていることを特徴とする(11)に記載の液晶表示装置。
(15)画素電極と前記画素電極への信号を制御するTFTがマトリクス状に配置されたTFT基板と、前記画素電極に対応するカラーフィルタが形成されたカラーフィルタ基板が前記TFT基板に対向して設置され、前記TFT基板には前記TFTに外部から信号を与えるための端子部が形成されている液晶表示パネルと、前記液晶表示パネルの背面にはバックライトが形成され、前記液晶表示パネルを前記バックライトはモールドに収容され、前記モールドはフレームに収容されている液晶表示装置であって、前記端子部は前記TFT基板の辺に形成された凹部に形成され、前記端子部にはフレキシブル配線基板が接続されており、前記凹部において前記フレキシブル配線基板が前記バックライトの背面側に曲げられていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
以上の実施例においては、TFT基板1またはカラーフィルタ基板2はガラスによって形成されるとして説明してきた、しかし、TFT基板1またはガラス基板等がガラスではなく、例えば、プラスチック基板等で形成されているとしても、本発明は実施例1から4に述べたのと同様に適用することができる。
Claims (2)
- 画素電極と前記画素電極への信号を制御するTFTがマトリクス状に配置されたTFT基板と、前記画素電極に対応するカラーフィルタが形成されたカラーフィルタ基板が前記TFT基板に対向して設置され、前記TFT基板には前記TFTに外部から信号を与えるための端子部が形成されている液晶表示パネルを有する液晶表示装置であって、
前記端子部は前記TFT基板の辺に形成された切り欠き部付近に形成され、
前記切り欠き部の深さは、0.2mmから1mmであり、
前記端子部にはフレキシブル配線基板が接続され、前記切り欠き部においてフレキシブル配線基板はTFT基板の下方に曲げられていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - フレキシブル配線基板は前記切り欠き部の深さ内に収まっていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
