また、上記の排気ガス浄化方法で、前記脱硫中か否かの判定は、前記第2酸素濃度に代えて、前記第1酸素濃度と前記第2酸素濃度との間の所定の判定値を用いるように構成される。
また、上記の排気ガス浄化システムで、前記制御装置が、前記脱硫中か否かの判定は、前記第2酸素濃度に代えて、前記第1酸素濃度と前記第2酸素濃度との間の所定の判定値を用いるように構成される。

Claims (10)
- リーン状態においてNOxを吸蔵し、リッチ状態においてNOxを放出及び還元するNOx吸蔵還元型触媒を備え、該NOx吸蔵還元型触媒の脱硫が必要であると判断した場合に、前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒に流入する排気ガスの空燃比状態を内燃機関の通常の運転状態よりもリッチ状態にする脱硫制御を行う内燃機関の排気ガス浄化システムにおいて、前記脱硫制御に際して、前記脱硫制御の開始後は、前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒よりも上流側に配置された第1排気濃度センサで検出した酸素濃度が所定の酸素濃度になるようにフィードバック制御を行い、脱硫制御中における脱硫中か否かの判定では、前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒の下流側に設けた第2排気濃度センサにより検出した酸素濃度が、NOxの放出中の状態であることを示す所定の第1酸素濃度から、NOxの放出の完了とSOxの放出の開始の状態であることを示す所定の第2酸素濃度に低下した場合に脱硫が開始されたと判定するとともに、その後、前記第2酸素濃度を越えるまでは継続して脱硫中であると判定することを特徴とする排気ガス浄化方法。
- 前記脱硫中か否かの判定は、前記第2酸素濃度に代えて、前記第1酸素濃度と前記第2酸素濃度との間の所定の判定値を用いることを特徴とする請求項1記載の排気ガス浄化方法。
- 前記脱硫制御において、前記脱硫が開始されたと判定した時から、前記脱硫制御によって脱硫された硫黄量の算出を開始し、該脱硫された硫黄量を積算して積算脱流量を求め、該積算脱硫量と目標脱硫量とを比較して、該脱硫制御を終了させることを特徴とする請求項2記載の排気ガス浄化方法。
- 前記目標脱硫量が、脱硫制御の開始前まで積算していた積算硫黄吸着量であることを特徴とする請求項3記載の排気ガス浄化方法。
- 脱硫制御によって脱硫された硫黄量を、S/V比、空燃比又は空気過剰率、触媒温度をパラメーターにしてマップデータ形式又は関数形式にし、予め入力しておいたデータに基づいて、前記脱硫制御時に測定したS/V比、空燃比又は空気過剰率、触媒温度から、前記脱硫される硫黄量を算出することを特徴とする請求項3又は4記載の排気ガス浄化方法。
- リーン状態においてNOxを吸蔵し、リッチ状態においてNOxを放出及び還元するNOx吸蔵還元型触媒と、該NOx吸蔵還元型触媒の脱硫が必要であると判断した場合に、前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒に流入する排気ガスの空燃比状態を内燃機関の通常の運転状態よりもリッチ状態にする脱硫制御を行う制御装置を備えた内燃機関の排気ガス浄化システムにおいて、前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒の下流側に酸素濃度センサを設けると共に、前記制御装置が、前記脱硫制御に際して、前記脱硫制御の開始後は、前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒よりも上流側に配置された第1排気濃度センサで検出した酸素濃度が所定の酸素濃度になるようにフィードバック制御を行い、脱硫制御中における脱硫中か否かの判定では、前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒の下流側に設けた第2排気濃度センサにより検出した酸素濃度が、NOxの放出中の状態であることを示す所定の第1酸素濃度から、NOxの放出の完了とSOxの放出の開始の状態であることを示す所定の第2酸素濃度に低下した場合に脱硫が開始されたと判定するとともに、その後、前記第2酸素濃度を越えるまでは継続して脱硫中であると判定することを特徴とする排気ガス浄化システム。
- 前記制御装置が、前記脱硫中か否かの判定は、前記第2酸素濃度に代えて、前記第1酸素濃度と前記第2酸素濃度との間の所定の判定値を用いることを特徴とする請求項6記載の排気ガス浄化システム。
- 前記制御装置が、前記脱硫制御において、前記脱硫が開始されたと判定した後に積算を開始した前記脱硫制御によって脱硫された硫黄量の積算値である積算脱硫量と、目標脱硫量とを比較して、該脱硫制御を終了させることを特徴とする請求項6又は7記載の排気ガス浄化システム。
- 前記目標脱硫量が、脱硫制御の開始前まで積算していた積算硫黄吸着量であることを特徴とする請求項8記載の排気ガス浄化システム。
- 前記制御装置が、前記脱硫制御において、脱硫制御によって脱硫された硫黄量を、
S/V比、空燃比又は空気過剰率、触媒温度をパラメーターにしてマップデータ形式又は関数形式にし、予め入力しておいたデータに基づいて、前記脱硫制御時に測定したS/V比、空燃比又は空気過剰率、触媒温度から、前記脱硫される硫黄量を算出することを特徴とする請求項8又は9記載の排気ガス浄化システム。
