又は他の成分との比等)の変化態様として現れること、ひいては燃焼パラメータの変化態様を排気パラメータから高精度に推定可能であることが分かった。このため、上記第1の発明の構成によれば、適合マップや筒内圧力の検出によらず、燃焼状態をより簡便に所望の状態に高い精度で制御することができるようになる。なお、燃焼状態のばらつきを軽減する上では、前記排気パラメータを所定の基準燃焼状態からの誤差に変換(例えばマップや数式等で変換)するとともにその変換された誤差を、前記噴射態様可変手段による事前サブ噴射の噴射態様の可変設定により補償する構成が特に有効である。また、制御の精度をさらに高める等の目的で、こうした排気パラメータによる噴射制御を、上述の適合マップや筒内圧力の検出による噴射制御と組み合わせて行うことも可能である。
Claims (9)
- 対象エンジンの燃料噴射制御に際して、1燃焼サイクル中にあって出力トルクを主に生成するためのメイン噴射の実行に先立ち、該メイン噴射よりも少量の噴射量による1回の事前サブ噴射を実行するエンジンの燃料噴射制御装置において、
前記エンジンでの燃焼により生じる排気の温度及び圧力の少なくとも一方を示す排気パラメータの内容に応じて前記事前サブ噴射の噴射量を可変設定する噴射態様可変手段と、
前記排気パラメータの基準値からのずれ度合である排気パラメータずれを監視してその時の排気パラメータずれが所定の許容範囲内にあるか否かを判断する排気判断手段と、
を備え、
前記噴射態様可変手段は、前記排気判断手段により前記排気パラメータずれが許容範囲内にない旨判断された場合に、同排気パラメータずれが許容範囲内に収まるように前記事前サブ噴射の噴射量補正に係る補正値を基準値から正側又は負側へ所定変化量ずつ累積的に変化させつつ前記事前サブ噴射の噴射量を補正しかつ前記排気判断手段による許容判断を逐次行い、その後、前記排気判断手段により前記排気パラメータずれが許容範囲内にある旨判断された時の前記補正値により前記事前サブ噴射の噴射量補正を実施することを特徴とするエンジンの燃料噴射制御装置。 - 異なる大きさの複数の値を保持するとともに前記排気パラメータずれの度合に応じてそれら値の中から前記所定変化量として使用する1つを選択する変化量選択手段を備える請求項1に記載のエンジンの燃料噴射制御装置。
- 前記噴射態様可変手段により累積的に変化させた前記補正値が許容上限を超えたか否かを判断する累積判断手段と、
前記累積判断手段により前記補正値が許容上限を超えた旨判断された場合に、前記エンジンでの燃焼に供される吸気の温度を示す吸気パラメータの基準値からのずれ度合である吸気パラメータずれが所定の許容範囲内にあるか否かを判断する吸気判断手段と、
前記吸気判断手段により前記吸気パラメータずれが許容範囲内にない旨判断された場合、同吸気パラメータずれが許容範囲内に収まるように前記吸気パラメータを可変制御する吸気パラメータ可変手段と、
を備える請求項1又は2に記載のエンジンの燃料噴射制御装置。 - 前記エンジンの吸排気系は、吸気通路又は排気通路又は吸排気通路の連結路における所定部位にて複数本に分岐して下流側で再び合流して吸気通路に接続されるものであって且つ、前記複数本の分岐通路のうち、少なくともその2つは分岐部分から合流部分までの気体流通による放熱量が互いに相違するものである配管を含んで構成されており、
前記吸気パラメータ可変手段は、前記分岐部分から合流部分までの気体流通について、前記放熱量の異なる複数の分岐通路の少なくとも1つの通路の流通面積を可変とするものである請求項3に記載のエンジンの燃料噴射制御装置。 - 前記複数本の分岐通路は、排気の一部を吸気系へ還流させるEGR通路に形成されており、少なくともその2つは、冷却装置の有無により放熱量が相違している請求項4に記載のエンジンの燃料噴射制御装置。
- 前記噴射態様可変手段は、前記燃焼後に排出される排気の温度を前記排気パラメータとして、この排気の温度が高いほど前記事前サブ噴射の噴射量をより増量側の目標値に制御するものである請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のエンジンの燃料噴射制御装置。
- 前記噴射態様可変手段は、前記燃焼後に排出される排気の圧力を前記排気パラメータとして、この排気の圧力が高いほど前記事前サブ噴射の噴射量をより増量側の目標値に制御するものである請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のエンジンの燃料噴射制御装置。
- 前記噴射態様可変手段による噴射態様可変設定の実行に先立ち、前記エンジンでの燃焼に供される吸気の温度を示す吸気パラメータの基準値からのずれ度合である吸気パラメータずれが所定の許容範囲内にあるか否かを判断する事前吸気判断手段を備え、
前記噴射態様可変手段は、前記事前吸気判断手段により前記吸気パラメータずれが許容範囲内にある旨判断されている場合に、前記事前サブ噴射の噴射量の可変設定を実行するものである請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のエンジンの燃料噴射制御装置。 - 前記事前吸気判断手段により前記吸気パラメータずれが許容範囲内にない旨判断された場合、同吸気パラメータずれが許容範囲内に収まるように前記吸気パラメータを可変制御する吸気パラメータ事前可変手段を備える請求項8に記載のエンジンの燃料噴射制御装置。
