Abstract
Description
X及びX1は、それぞれ独立して、O又はSを表し;
HArは、置換若しくは非置換(3〜30員)ヘテロアリールを表し;
L1は、単結合、置換若しくは非置換(C6〜C30)アリーレン、又は置換若しくは非置換(3〜30員)ヘテロアリーレンを表し、
R1は、置換若しくは非置換(C1〜C30)アルキル、置換若しくは非置換(C6〜C30)アリール、置換若しくは非置換(3〜30員)ヘテロアリール、又は置換若しくは非置換(C3〜C30)シクロアルキルを表し;
R2及びR3は、それぞれ独立して、水素、重水素、置換若しくは非置換(C1〜C30)アルキル、置換若しくは非置換(C6〜C30)アリール、置換若しくは非置換(3〜30員)ヘテロアリール、又は置換若しくは非置換(C3〜C30)シクロアルキルを表すか、或いはR2及びR3のうちの隣接するものに結合して環を形成し得;

本開示による有機エレクトロルミネセント化合物を使用することによって、改善された動作電圧、発光効率、寿命特性、及び/又は電力効率を有する有機エレクトロルミネセントデバイスを提供することが可能である。

R104〜R107は、それぞれ独立して、水素、重水素、ハロゲン、非置換又は重水素若しくはハロゲンで置換された(C1〜C30)アルキル、置換若しくは非置換(C3〜C30)シクロアルキル、置換若しくは非置換(C6〜C30)アリール、置換若しくは非置換(3〜30員)ヘテロアリール、シアノ、又は置換若しくは非置換(C1〜C30)アルコキシを表すか;或いはR104〜R107の隣接するものに結合して、ベンゼンとともに置換若しくは非置換の縮合環、例えば、置換若しくは非置換ナフタレン、置換若しくは非置換フルオレン、置換若しくは非置換ジベンゾチオフェン、置換若しくは非置換ジベンゾフラン、置換若しくは非置換インデノピリジン、置換若しくは非置換ベンゾフロピリジン、又は置換若しくは非置換ベンゾチエノピリジン環を形成し得;
R201〜R220は、それぞれ独立して、水素、重水素、ハロゲン、非置換又は重水素若しくはハロゲンで置換された(C1〜C30)アルキル、置換若しくは非置換(C3〜C30)シクロアルキル、又は置換若しくは非置換(C6〜C30)アリールを表すか;或いはR201〜R220の隣接するものに結合して置換若しくは非置換の縮合環を形成し得;
nは、1〜3の整数を表す。
反応容器に、7.3gの化合物1(18.2mmol)、3.9gのN−ブロモスクシンイミド(NBS)(21.8mmol)、180mLの硫酸、及び180mLの酢酸を添加し、混合物を18時間室温で撹拌した。反応の終了後に、水をそれに添加して薄めた。結果として生じた固体を得、次いで乾燥させた。残渣をカラムクロマトグラフィーによって精製して5.7gの化合物2を得た(収率:66%)。
反応容器に、10gの化合物3(36.4mmol)、11gのビス(ピナコラト)ジボロン(43.6mmol)、0.32gのビス(トリフェニルホスフィン)パラジウム(II)ジクロリド(1.82mmol)、10gの酢酸カリウム(109.2mmol)、及び180mLの1,4−ジオキサンを添加し、混合物を2時間130℃で撹拌した。反応の終了後に、反応混合物を室温に冷却し、有機層を酢酸エチルで抽出した。抽出有機層を硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥させ、溶媒をロータリーエバポレーターによって除去した。残渣をカラムクロマトグラフィーによって精製して11.5gの化合物4を得た(収率:98%)。
反応容器に、5.7gの化合物2(11.9mmol)、4.2gの化合物4(13.0mmol)、0.69gのテトラキス(トリフェニルホスフィン)パラジウム(0.6mmol)、4.1gの炭酸カリウム(29.8mmol)、60mLのトルエン、15mLのエタノール、及び15mLの蒸留水を添加し、混合物を3時間140℃で撹拌した。反応の終了後に、反応混合物を室温に冷却し、有機層を酢酸エチルで抽出した。抽出有機層を硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥させ、溶媒をロータリーエバポレーターによって除去した。残渣をカラムクロマトグラフィーによって精製して3.2gの化合物A−1を得た(収率:46%)。

本開示によるOLEDを以下の通り製造した:OLED用のガラス基板上の透明電極酸化インジウムスズ(ITO)薄膜(10Ω/sq)(ジオマテック株式会社、日本)を、順次、アセトン及びイソプロピルアルコールでの超音波洗浄にかけ、次いでイソプロパノール中に保存した。ITO基板を真空蒸着装置の基板ホルダーに装着した。第1正孔注入化合物としての下の表3に示される化合物HI−1を真空蒸着装置のセルに導入し、第1正孔輸送化合物としてのHT−1を真空蒸着装置の別のセルに導入した。2つの材料を異なる速度で蒸発させ、第1正孔注入化合物を、第1正孔注入化合物及び第1正孔輸送化合物の総量を基準として3重量%のドーピング量で蒸着させてITO基板上に10nmの厚さを有する第1正孔注入層を形成した。次に、化合物HT−1を、第1正孔注入層上に80nmの厚さを有する第1正孔輸送層として蒸着させた。次いで、化合物HT−2を真空蒸着装置の別のセルに導入し、セルに電流を流すことによって蒸発させ、それによって第1正孔輸送層上に30nmの厚さを有する第2正孔輸送層を形成した。正孔注入層及び正孔輸送層を形成した後、発光層を以下の通りその上に形成した:表1に示されるホストを真空蒸着装置の1つのセルに導入し、化合物D−50をドーパントとして別のセルに導入した。2つの材料を異なる速度で蒸発させ、ドーパントを、ホスト及びドーパントの総量を基準として10重量%のドーピング量で蒸着させて、第2正孔輸送層上に40nmの厚さを有する発光層を形成した。次に、化合物ETL−1及び化合物EIL−1を40:60の重量比で蒸着させて発光層上に35nmの厚さを有する電子輸送層を形成した。電子輸送層上に2nmの厚さを有する電子注入層として化合物EIL−1を蒸着させた後、別の真空蒸着装置によって電子注入層上に80nmの厚さを有するAlカソードを蒸着させた。このようにして、OLEDを製造した。OLEDを製造するために使用される材料は全て、10−6トールで真空昇華によって精製した。
発光層のホストとして化合物Com.1を使用した以外は、デバイス実施例1におけるのと同じ方法でOLEDを製造した。
デバイス実施例1及び比較例1において製造されたOLEDの、1,000ニットの輝度における駆動電圧及び発光色、並びに20,000ニットの輝度において輝度が100%から95%に減少するのに要する時間(寿命;T95)を下の表1に示す。
発光層を以下の通り形成したことを除いて、デバイス実施例1−1におけるのと同じ方法でOLEDを製造した:下の表2に示される第1ホスト及び第2ホストを、ホストとして、それぞれ、真空蒸着装置の2つのセルに導入し、化合物D−50をドーパントとして別のセルに導入した。2つのホスト材料を2:1の異なる割合で蒸発させ、及び同時にドーパント材料を異なる割合で蒸発させてドーパントを、ホスト及びドーパントの総量を基準として10重量%のドーピング量で蒸着させ、それによって第2正孔輸送層上に40nmの厚さを有する発光層を形成した。
発光層の第2ホストとして化合物Comp.1を使用したことを除いて、デバイス実施例2におけるのと同じ方法でOLEDを製造した。
デバイス実施例2及び比較例2において製造されたOLEDの、1,000ニットの輝度における駆動電圧、発光効率及び発光色、並びに20,000ニットの輝度において輝度が100%から95%に減少するのに要する時間(寿命;T95)を下の表2に示す。
