Abstract
Description
PSP=1/2([ヘッド基]−[テール基]−2[ビフェニル基])
これらの比較実施例は、ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマー反応生成物ではなく、ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)ホモポリマーを使用する。組成物の調整に使用した成分を表1に要約する。
これらの実施例は、熱変形温度が少なくとも150℃で、少なくとも10%のガラス繊維を含む組成物の厚さ1.5mmの試験片が、対応する非充填組成物(比較実施例16及び20)がV−0評価の難燃性を有するにもかかわらず、V−0評価を達成することができないことを示す。本発明の組成物による特性のバランスと比較すると、充填されない比較実施例16及び20は、少なくとも曲げ弾性率の点で不十分であり、充填された比較実施例17〜19及び21〜23は、少なくともUL94評価の点で不十分である。
これらの本発明の実施例及び比較実施例は、ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマーを水素化ブロックコポリマーSEBSと組み合わせて使用する例を示す。本発明の実施例1〜6は全て、少なくとも155℃の熱変形温度と、厚さ1.5mmにおいてV−0のUL94評価と、3500MPaより大きい曲げ弾性率を有する。比較実施例24及び25は、充填されておらず、実質的により低い熱変形温度、曲げ弾性率、及び曲げ強さを示す。
これらの本発明の実施例及び比較実施例は、改良されたメルトフローを達成するための方法を示す。
これらの本発明の実施例及び比較実施例は、全て20%のガラス繊維補強剤を含み、ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)ホモポリマーではなくポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマー反応生成物を使用することにより、耐熱性を犠牲にすることなく改良された難燃性を得ることができることを示す。比較実施例28は、比較実施例27に比べてHIPSの含有量を低減し、難燃剤及びポリ(フェニレンエーテル)ホモポリマーを増加させても、1.5mmにおいてV−0の燃焼性能とするには不十分であることも示す。
これらの本発明の実施例及び比較実施例は、全て30%のガラス繊維補強剤を含み、ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)ホモポリマーではなくポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマー反応生成物を使用することにより、耐熱性を犠牲にすることなく改良された難燃性を得ることができることを更に示す。比較実施例30は、比較実施例29に比べてHIPSの含有量を低減し、難燃剤及びポリ(フェニレンエーテル)ホモポリマーを増加させても、1.5mmにおいてV−0の燃焼性能とするには不十分であることも示す。
これらの20%のガラス繊維で補強されたポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマーを含む組成物が、110℃よりも高い熱変形温度を維持しつつ、厚さ0.75mmでUL94のV−0評価を達成するもできることを示す。比較実施例36は、V−0評価を達成したが、熱変形温度が不十分であった。
これらの実施例は、ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマー反応生成物を0.5重量%しか含まない組成物により、厚さ1.5mmでUL94のV−0評価を達成することを示す。これらの実施例は、第1のポリ(フェニレンエーテル)(ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマー反応生成物に由来)及び第2のポリ(フェニレンエーテル)(別に追加;実施例28〜43参照)を含む組成物を更に示す。
Claims (20)
- 組成物を含む物品であって、
前記物品は、電子写真複写機のフューザーホルダー、ファンブレード、ハイブリッド及び電気輸送機関のバッテリー部品、自動車の運動エネルギー回生システムの部品、及び電気自動車のジャンクションボックスからなる群から選択され、
前記組成物は、全ての重量%は組成物の総重量を基準として、
ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマー、ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサングラフトコポリマー、又はそれらの組合せを含むポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンコポリマーを0.5〜85重量%と、
有機リン酸エステル、ホスファゼン、又はそれらの組合せを含む難燃剤を5〜25重量%と、
補強充填剤を10〜35重量%と、
を含み、
前記物品がフューザーホルダーである場合、前記組成物は、ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマーと第1のポリ(フェニレンエーテル)とを含むポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマー反応生成物を2〜10重量%含み、55〜75重量%の第2のポリ(フェニレンエーテル)を更に含むことを特徴とする物品。 - 前記ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンコポリマーは、前記ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマーを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマーは、ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンマルチブロックコポリマーを含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の物品。
- 前記ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマーは、前記ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサングラフトコポリマーを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記補強充填剤は、ガラス繊維、炭素繊維、珪灰石、ハロイサイト、粘土、滑石、雲母、ガラスフレーク、中実ガラスビーズ、中空ガラスビーズ、中実セラミックビーズ、中空セラミックビーズ、及びそれらの組合せからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記補強充填剤は、ガラス繊維を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記難燃剤は、有機リン酸エステルを含むことを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の物品。
- 前記有機リン酸エステルは、ビスフェノールAビス(ジフェニルホスフェート)を含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の物品。
- 前記難燃剤は、ホスファゼンを含むことを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の物品。
- 前記難燃剤は、環状オリゴ(ビス(フェノキシ)ホスファゼン)、直鎖状オリゴ(ビス(フェノキシ)ホスファゼン)、直鎖状ポリ(ビス(フェノキシ)ホスファゼン)、架橋ポリ(ビス(フェノキシ)ホスファゼン)、又はそれらの組合せを含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の物品。
- 前記組成物は、ゴム改質ポリスチレン、アルケニル芳香族モノマー及び共役ジエンの非水素化ブロックコポリマー、アルケニル芳香族モノマー及び共役ジエンの水素化ブロックコポリマー、アクリレートコアシェル型耐衝撃性改良剤、及びそれらの組合せからなる群から選択された耐衝撃性改良剤を1〜10重量%更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の物品。
- 前記物品は、フューザーホルダーであり、
前記組成物は、ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマーと第1のポリ(フェニレンエーテル)とを含むポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマー反応生成物を2〜10重量%含み、55〜75重量%の第2のポリ(フェニレンエーテル)を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の物品。 - 前記組成物は、10〜20重量%の補強充填剤を含み、前記補強充填剤は、ガラス繊維を含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の物品。
- 前記組成物は、アルケニル芳香族化合物と共役ジエンの水素化ブロックコポリマーを1〜5重量%更に含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の物品。
- 前記物品は、フューザーホルダーであり、
前記組成物は、ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマーと第1のポリ(フェニレンエーテル)とを含むポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマー反応生成物を含み、
前記ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマーは、
下記の構造を有するフェニレンエーテル繰り返し単位を含むポリ(フェニレンエーテル)ブロックと、
下記の構造を有するポリシロキサンブロックと、
を含み、
nは、30〜60であり、
前記第1のポリ(フェニレンエーテル)は、ポリ(2,6−ジメチル−1,4−フェニレンエーテル)を含み、
前記補強充填剤は、ガラス繊維を含み、
前記難燃剤は、ビスフェノールAビス(ジフェニルホスフェート)を含み、
前記組成物は、
前記ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマー反応生成物を2〜10重量%と、
前記難燃剤を5〜15重量%と、
前記補強充填剤を10〜20重量%と、
を含み、
前記組成物は、
ポリ(2,6−ジメチル−1,4−フェニレンエーテル)を含む第2のポリ(フェニレンエーテル)を55〜75重量%と、
ポリスチレン−ポリ(エチレン−ブチレン)−ポリスチレンブロックコポリマーを1〜5重量%と、
を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の物品。 - 前記物品は、ファンブレード、ハイブリッド及び電気輸送機関のバッテリー部品、自動車の運動エネルギー回生システムの部品、及び電気自動車のジャンクションボックスからなる群から選択され、
前記組成物は、ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマーと第1のポリ(フェニレンエーテル)とを含むポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマー反応生成物を53〜63重量%含むことを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の物品。 - 前記組成物は、15〜25重量%の前記補強充填剤を含み、前記補強充填剤は、ガラス繊維を含むことを特徴とする請求項17に記載の物品。
- 前記組成物は、アルケニル芳香族モノマー及び共役ジエンの水素化ブロックコポリマーを0〜4重量%更に含むことを特徴とする請求項17に記載の物品。
- 前記物品は、ファンブレード、ハイブリッド及び電気輸送機関のバッテリー部品、自動車の運動エネルギー回生システムの部品、及び電気自動車のジャンクションボックスからなる群から選択され、
前記組成物は、ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマーと第1のポリ(フェニレンエーテル)とを含むポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマー反応生成物を含み、
前記ポリ(フェニレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロックコポリマーは、
下記の構造を有するフェニレンエーテル繰り返し単位を含むポリ(フェニレンエーテル)ブロックと、
