Claims (7)
- 外周面に付着する塗工液を上下方向に搬送される熱可塑性樹脂からなる帯状のリチウムイオン2次電池用セパレータフィルムの被塗工面側に回転動作により塗工する塗工ロールを有する塗工手段と、
上記フィルムにおける被塗工面側及び反被塗工面側のいずれか一方で、且つ、上記塗工ロールのフィルム搬送方向上流側に配置され、連続搬送される上記フィルムを回転動作により案内する第1ガイドロールと、
上記フィルムにおける反被塗工面側で、且つ、上記塗工ロールのフィルム搬送方向下流側に配置され、連続搬送される上記フィルムを回転動作により案内する第2ガイドロールと、
上記第1及び第2ガイドロールより小径で、且つ、当該第1及び第2ガイドロール間に位置するとともに上記塗工ロールのフィルム搬送方向上流側及び下流側の両側に接近配置され、上記フィルムの反被塗工面側を押圧する一対の塗工補助ロールとを備えていることを特徴とする塗工装置。 - 請求項1に記載の塗工装置において、
連続搬送される上記フィルムの所定領域におけるテンションを変更するテンション変更手段と、
上記第2ガイドロールのフィルム搬送方向下流側に設けられ、上記フィルムの被塗工面に付着した塗工液を連続搬送させながら乾燥させる乾燥手段とを備え、
上記テンション変更手段は、上記第2ガイドロールと上記乾燥手段との間における上記フィルムの反被塗工面側に設けられ、且つ、外周面に形成された多数の吸引孔で上記フィルムを吸引しながら回転動作により送り出すサクションロールを有し、上記フィルムにおける上記サクションロール通過前の領域のテンションを通過後の領域のテンションより高くなるよう変更することを特徴とする塗工装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の塗工装置において、
上記第1ガイドロールは、エキスパンダーロールであることを特徴とする塗工装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の塗工装置において、
上記第1ガイドロールのフィルム搬送方向上流側には、エキスパンダーロールが設けられていることを特徴とする塗工装置。 - 請求項1から4のいずれか1つに記載の塗工装置において、
上記第1ガイドロールは、上記塗工ロールのフィルム搬送方向上流側に位置する上記塗工補助ロールとで上記フィルムがS字状に連続搬送されるよう上記フィルムの被塗工面側に位置していることを特徴とする塗工装置。 - 請求項1から5のいずれか1つに記載の塗工装置において、
上記塗工補助ロールには、当該塗工補助ロールにおける回転軸心方向端部を上記フィルムの反被塗工面に接近・離間させることにより、上記フィルムの反被塗工面に対する上記塗工補助ロールの傾きを調整するロール傾き調整手段が設けられていることを特徴とする塗工装置。 - 請求項1から6のいずれか1つに記載の塗工装置において、
上記塗工手段は、上記塗工液を貯留する液溜部を有し、該液溜部に上記塗工ロールの外周面の一部が浸される塗工チャンバーと、
上記塗工チャンバーのロール径方向一方側に設けられ、先端が上記塗工ロールの外周面に圧接して上記塗工ロールの回転動作時に上記外周面に付着する余分な塗工液を掻き取るドクターブレードと、
上記塗工チャンバーのロール径方向他方側に設けられ、先端が上記塗工ロールの外周面に圧接してシールするシールプレートと、
上記塗工チャンバーのロール軸心方向両端部寄りにそれぞれ設けられ、先端が上記塗工ロールの外周面に圧接して上記ドクターブレードと上記シールプレートとで上記液溜部を密閉する一対のサイドプレートとを備え、
上記塗工ロールの少なくとも外周面を含む領域は、セラミックス材で形成され、
上記ドクターブレードは、樹脂材で形成されていることを特徴とする塗工装置。
