Description

本発明は、製品の袋を形成する包装機械に管状袋材料を配送するために包装産業で採用されるフォーマーショルダーに関する。
包装機械は、袋材料を管状の形態で受け取る。包装されるべき製品は、管状袋材料の内部に配送され、包装機械がそれから管状袋材料を横方向に密封し切断して製品の袋を形成する。管状袋材料はフォーマーショルダーによって形成され、そこには包装用フィルムが帯の形態で配送される。フォーマーと包装機械は、米国特許4910943, 5622032, 4663917, 6655110, 7159376, 7600630, 7383672, 4753336, 7124559, 7415809, 7152387および7472528に開示されている。
フォーマーショルダーによって提供された管状材料は、縦方向に密封されている。この機能は、管状袋材料をその縦方向に重複するエッジに沿って加熱し、重複する縦方向エッジに圧力を印加することによって行われる。

図１は、袋材料をフォーマーアッセンブリを通り越して引っ張るように管状袋材料と係合するフォーマーアッセンブリとドライブの概略斜視図である。 図２は、図１のフォーマーアッセンブリとドライブの概略側面図である。 図３は、図１と２のフォーマーアッセンブリのフォーマーショルダーの概略斜視図である。 図４は、図３のフォーマーショルダーの概略前面図である。 図５は、図３のフォーマーショルダーの概略側面図である。 図６は、ライン６−６に沿って断面化された図５に示されたフォーマーショルダーの概略断面化前面図である。 図７は、図３のフォーマーショルダーの概略上面図である。
付随する図面では、フォーマーアッセンブリ１０が概略的に描かれている。フォーマーアッセンブリ１０は、米国特許712459および7415809に開示されたフォーマーアッセンブリと同様であっても良い。
フォーマーアッセンブリ１０は、それにスリーブ１３をサポートするフレーム１２が取り付けられるところのベース１１を含む。スリーブ１３は、それに米国特許7600630および欧州特許出願082909573に開示されたもののような計量機から製品がバッチで配送されるところの全体的に上向きに伸びている通路１４を囲い込む。スリーブ１３は、管状構成に形成されるようにそこに帯状フィルム材料が配送されるところの外部フォーマー表面１６を有するフォーマーショルダー１５を通過する。製品は、管状袋材料の内部に配送されるように通路１４に配送される。ドライブアッセンブリ１７の下に配置された米国特許4753336に開示されたもののような包装機械は、製品の袋を形成するように袋材料を横方向に密封し切断する。
フォーマーアッセンブリ１０は、管状袋材料の内部に不活性ガスを配送するためのダクティングを含んでいても良い。
フォーマーショルダー１５が、図３から７により完全に描かれている。この実施形態のショルダー１５は、それを介して製品が管状袋材料の内部に配送されるところの全体的に中央の円形の開口１８を取り囲んでいる外部表面１６を有する。スリーブ１３は、ショルダー１５の内部空洞１９を通して突き出すべく開口１８を通過する。空洞１９は、ショルダー１５の内部表面２０によって取り囲まれている。
上述した好ましい実施形態では、開口１８は全体的に円形である。但し、その他の実施形態では、開口１８は、形成される袋の構成に応じて、全体的に正方形または長方形であっても良い。
ショルダー１５は、全体的に中央の直立した縦方向の軸２１の周りに曲げられた、ステンレス鋼の薄板から形成されており、薄板は折り畳まれた後方エッジ２２で終端している。後方エッジ２２は、フレーム１２の横方向部材２３にしっかりと取り付けられる。軸２１は開口１８の中心軸である。
内部表面２０に固定されているのは、加熱されるべくその上をフィルム状袋材料が通過するところの外部表面１６を加熱するヒーター２４である。ヒーター２４は、開口１８の反対側上に位置し、特に開口１８および軸２１はヒーター２４の間に位置する。より特定には、ヒーター２４は軸２１の反対側上に対称的または非対称的に配置されており、軸２１の周りに角度をもって伸びる。各ヒーターは、横方向の幅と、幅よりも大きい縦方向の長さを有する。各ヒーター２４は、軸２１の周りに角度をもって縦方向に伸びる。
それがフォーマーショルダー１５を通過するにつれての管状袋材料の加熱は、ドライブアッセンブリ１７によって加熱される必要がある管状袋材料の長さを削減するという利点を有する。従って、ドライブアッセンブリ１７は高さが削減されることができる。
ヒーター２４は、電気抵抗ヒーターであっても良い、つまりヒーター２４は電気抵抗を有し、電気パワーがそれに印加された際に、それらは温度が上げられ、従って表面１６の温度を上げるようになっている。
表面１６の上を通過するフィルム状袋材料は、重複する縦方向のエッジをもった管状の形に形成される。ヒーター２４は、袋材料の縦方向のエッジを加熱すべく位置している。
フレーム１２によってサポートされるべく固定されているのはバッキングバー２５である。バッキングバー２５は、管状袋材料がバッキングバー２５とドライブベルト２６の間に位置するように、管状袋材料の内部に位置している。バッキングバー２５は、管状袋材料の重複する縦方向に伸びるエッジ部分がそれにより加熱されるように、ヒーターを含んでいても良い。
ベルト２６は管状袋材料と係合し、アッセンブリ１７の下の包装機械への配送のために管状袋材料がフォーマーショルダー１５を通り越して方向２７に下向きに通過することを引き起こす。包装機械は、米国特許4753336に開示された通りの包装機械であっても良い。
ベルト２６は、駆動プーリー２９によって方向２８に駆動される。プーリー２９は、駆動モーターにシャフトを介して接続されるであろう。ベルト２６は従動プーリー３０および３１の周りを通過し、ベルト２６がバッキングバー２５および軸２１と平行な線形経路に沿ってプーリー２９および３１に間を通過している。
バッキングバー２５に隣接して位置しているのは、それに真空が印加されるところの真空マニフォールド３２である。ベルト２６は、マニフォールド３２によって提供された真空チェンバーと通信する開口（描かれていない）を有し、管状袋材料がベルト２６のドライブ表面と接触することを促すように、低減された空気圧が管状袋材料の一方側に印加されている。真空ドライブアッセンブリは、米国特許7124559および4910943に示されている。
マニフォールド３２の間に位置するのは、管状袋材料の温度を上げることを再度補助するように電気的に加熱された加熱バー３３であり、バー３３とバッキングバー２５によって管状袋材料に印加された圧力が、管状袋材料の縦方向エッジ部分が密封するように接続されるべく溶融することを引き起こすようになっている。バー３３は、描かれていないばねによってバー２５に向けて促されている。
ベルト２６を駆動するために、プーリー２９は、ベルト２６のドライブ表面上の歯３７と噛み合う複数のドライブ歯３６が設けられている。
上述したドライブアッセンブリ１７の利点は、管状袋材料が引き伸ばされた長さに渡って加熱されることの必要がもはやないので、プーリー２９および３１の回転軸３４および３５の間の距離が以前の機械に対して削減されることである。軸３４および３５の間のこの削減された距離を提供するために、更なる従動プーリー３０が要求される。
本発明の上述した好ましい実施形態は、開口１８と包装機械の間の管状袋材料の全体的な長さを削減するという利点を提供する。この長さを削減することによって、包装されている製品が、より短い縦方向の長さ（軸２１と平行な長さ）を有するバッチに維持されることが見つけられた。

Claims (7)

  1. 包装機械のためのフォーマーショルダーであって、フォーマーショルダーは、袋材料を管状構成に構成するためにフィルム状袋材料の帯を受け取るように構成されており、
    管状構成に構成されるように袋材料がその上を通過するところの外部フォーマー表面であって、外部フォーマー表面は、それを介して製品が管状袋材料中に配送されるところの開口を取り囲んでいるものと、
    前記開口と通信している空洞を取り囲んでいる内部表面と、
    外部フォーマー表面を加熱して、それが一方で外部フォーマー表面の上を通過している袋材料を加熱するためのヒーターと、
    を含むフォーマーショルダー。
  2. ヒーターが外部フォーマー表面と内部表面に固定されている、請求項１のフォーマーショルダー。
  3. ヒーターが第１のヒーターと第２のヒーターを含み、開口がそれらの間に位置するように第１および第２のヒーターが位置している、請求項１のフォーマーショルダー。
  4. 各ヒーターが内部表面に固定されている、請求項３のフォーマーショルダー。
  5. 各ヒーターは、ヒーターが外部フォーマー表面を加熱することを引き起こすようにそれに電気エネルギーが配送されるところの電気抵抗ヒーターである、請求項１から４のいずれか１つのフォーマーショルダー。
  6. フォーマーショルダーが直立した縦方向軸を有し、各ヒーターが縦方向の長さと横方向の幅を有し、縦方向の長さが横方向の幅よりも大きく、各ヒーターが前記直立した縦方向軸の周りで縦方向に角度をもって伸びている、請求項１から５のいずれか１つのフォーマーショルダー。
  7. その上を管状袋材料の縦方向エッジが通過するところの外部フォーマー表面の一部に隣接して配置されるべく、各ヒーターが位置している、請求項１から６のいずれか１つのフォーマーショルダー。
