腔内装置のための複合糸を含む織物を提供する。
【解決手段】
インプラント可能な医学的装置のための低収縮性織物は、第1の方向に配列される複合糸の複数の繊維ストランドを含み、前記繊維ストランドは第2の方向に配列される前記複合糸の複数の繊維ストランドで織られる。前記複合糸が第1の材料及び第2の材料を含む。前記繊維ストランドは約10デニールから約20デニールのサイズを持つ。前記第1の材料は、前記第2の材料とは、少なくとも1つの性質が異なり、前記第2の材料は血管内に配置される際に血液と好ましく反応するものである。

Description
用語「生物適合性」とは、その意図される用途のインビボ環境において実質的に非毒性である材料に使用され、かつ患者の生理学的システムに拒絶されない(即ち非抗原性)材料に使用される。これは生物的剛性紙面に合格した材料の能力により標準化されており、例えば、International Standards Organization (ISO) Standard No. 10993及び/又はthe U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) 23及び/又はthe U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) blue book memorandum No. G95-1,名称「Use of International Standard ISO-10993, Biological Evaluation of Medical Devices Part-1: Evaluation and Testing」に規定されている。通常はこれらの試験は材料の毒性、感染性、発熱性、刺激性、反応性、溶血活性、発癌性及び/又は免疫原性を測定する。生物適合性構造又は材料は、患者の大部分に導入される際に、重大な、悪影響のある長期間又は増加される生物反応性や応答性を起こさないものであり、かつ、通常外科手術や異物を生体器官内にインプラントする際に伴う穏やかな一過性の炎症からも区別されるものである。
高い線密度は隣接するストランド間のスペースがより小さいことを示す。前記複合織物の織工程の際に、前記セット値とピック値が一定に維持される。前記セット値は約50及び約300エンド/インチの間であり、前記ピックカウント値が約3と約500ピック/インチの間であり得る。ここで「エンド」とは個々の縦糸を意味し、「ピック」とは個々の横糸を意味する。いくつかの側面で、前記複合織物はバランス織からなり得る(例えば、前記複合織物がインチ当たりの縦糸及びインチあたりも横糸の数が等しい)。他の側面では、前記複合織物はアンバランス織である(例えば、前記複合織物がインチあたり縦糸と横糸の等しくない数を持ち、どちらか一方が他方よりも多い)。例えば、ステントグラフトなどの装具を製造するための複合織物は、150エンド/インチ及び250ピック/インチの平織を含み得る。
Claims (20)
- 低収縮性インプラント可能な医学的装置のための織物であり:
第1の方向に配列された複合糸の複数の繊維ストランドであって第2の方向で前記複合糸の複数の繊維ストランドと織られた、複合糸の複数の繊維ストランドを含み;
前記複合糸が第1の材料及び第2の材料を含み、前記繊維ストランドが約10デニール及び約20デニールの間のサイズを持ち、前記第1の材料が、前記第2の材料とは異なる少なくとも1つの特性を持つ、織物。 - 請求項1に記載の織物であり、前記第1の方向に配列される前記複合糸の前記繊維ストランドが縦糸を含み、かつ前記第2の方向に配列される前記複合糸の繊維ストランドが横糸を含む、織物。
- 請求項1に記載の織物であり、前記複合糸の前記第1の材料及び前記第2の材料がポリマーを含む、織物。
- 請求項3に記載の織物であり、前記第1の材料が超高分子量ポリエチレンを含み、前記第2の材料がポリエチレンテレフタレートを含む、織物。
- 請求項1に記載の織物であり、前記複合糸が捻られたロープを含む、織物。
- 請求項1に記載の織物であり、前記複合糸が、前記第1の材料の繊維の中心コアを含み、前記コアが前記第2の材料の繊維で囲まれる、織物。
- 請求項1に記載の織物であり、前記複合糸が20デニールのサイズである、織物。
- 請求項7に記載の織物であり、前記複合糸が約50%のサイズの前記第1の材料と約50%のサイズの前記第2の材料とを含む、織物。
- 請求項1に記載の織物であり、前記織物が約3及び約500の間のピックカウントを持つ、織物。
- 請求項1に記載の織物であり、前記織物が、平織、バスケット織、横畝織、リブ織、ツイル織、レノ織、モックレノ織、サテン織、二重織又はそれらの変法織を含む群から選択される織方を含む、織物。
- 請求項10に記載の織物であり、前記織物が平織である、織物。
- 請求項1に記載の織物であり、前記第1の方向に配列される前記繊維ストランドが、前記第2の方向に配列される少なくとも2つの繊維ストランドの少なくとも1つで浮きを持つ、織物。
- インプラント可能な医学的装置のために適切な織物であり、
第1の方向に配列される複合糸の複数の繊維ストランドであって、第2の方向の複合糸の複数の繊維ストランドと織られている複数の繊維ストランドを含み;
前記複合糸がポリエステル繊維を含み、ポリエステル繊維と織られており、前記ポリエチレン繊維が約10デニールから約20デニールのサイズを持ち、及び
前記ポリエステル繊維が、前記第2の方向に配列される前記ポリエチレン繊維とは異なる少なくとも1つの性質を持つ、織物。 - 請求項13に記載の織物であり、前記複合糸がロープを含み、前記ロープがポリエチレン繊維の中心コアを含み、前記コアがポリエステル繊維で囲まれる、織物。
- 請求項13に記載の織物であり、前記複合糸が捻られたロープを含む、織物。
- 請求項13に記載の織物であり、前記ポリエステル繊維がポリエチレンテレフタレートである、織物。
- 請求項13に記載の織物であり、前記複合糸が20デニールのサイズを持つ、織物。
- 請求項17に記載の織物であり、前記複合糸が約50%サイズのポリエステル繊維及び約50%サイズのポリエチレン繊維を含む、織物。
- インプラント可能な医学的装置のための織物の製造方法であり、前記方法は:
第1の方向に配列される複合糸の複数の繊維ストランドを準備し;
第2の方向に配列される前記複合糸の複数の繊維ストランドを準備し;及び
前記繊維ストランドを織物に織るステップを含み、
前記複合糸の前記繊維ストランドが約10デニール及び約20デニールの間のサイズを持ち、及び
前記複合糸が第1の材料及び第2の材料との組み合わせを含む、方法。 - 請求項19に記載の方法であり、前記第1の方向の前記複合糸の前記繊維ストランドが、前記第2の方向の少なくとも2つの繊維ストランドの少なくとも1つの浮きを持つように織られる、方法。
