Abstract
Description
A)少なくとも1種のエポキシ樹脂、
B)ウレタン基および/または尿素基を含有し、かつ、キャップされた末端イソシアネート基を有する反応性強化剤であって、イソシアネート基の一部がフェノールでキャップされており、イソシアネート基の別の一部がヒドロキシ官能性アクリレートまたはヒドロキシ官能性メタクリレートでキャップされているもの、および
C)1種以上のエポキシ硬化剤
を含む構造用接着剤である。
A. 少なくとも1種の多価フェノールのジグリシジルエーテルと、液状ゴム変性エポキシ樹脂、コア・シェルゴム、または、液状ゴム変性エポキシ樹脂とコア・シェルゴムの双方と、約8〜30重量%の本発明の強化剤とを含む接着剤。
77.7部のポリテトラヒドロフラン(分子量2000)、0.5部のトリメチロールプロパンおよび0.2部のスズ触媒を窒素下で混合し、均一な混合物が得られるまで85℃で加熱することにより、プレポリマーを調製する。13部のヘキサメチレンジイソシアネートを添加し、混合物を窒素下で85℃にて45分間反応させる。0.01部の酸化防止剤を添加し、混合物をさらに5分間85℃で撹拌する。得られたプレポリマーのイソシアネート含量は3.0%である。
強化剤実施例1〜9並びに比較強化剤AおよびBの各々から、以下の処方を用いて一液型の熱活性化接着剤を調製する。
Claims (15)
- ウレタン基および/または尿素基を含有し、かつ、キャップされた末端イソシアネート基を有するエラストマー型強化剤であって、イソシアネート基の一部がフェノールでキャップされており、イソシアネート基のもう一方の部が少なくとも1種のヒドロキシ官能性アクリレートまたはヒドロキシ官能性メタクリレート化合物でキャップされている、前記エラストマー型強化剤。
- 上記末端イソシアネート基の1〜20%がヒドロキシル官能性アクリレートまたはヒドロキシ官能性メタクリレートでキャップされており、80〜99%がフェノールでキャップされている、請求項1に記載のエラストマー型強化剤。
- 上記末端イソシアネート基の1.5〜5%がヒドロキシ官能性アクリレートまたはヒドロキシ官能性メタクリレートでキャップされており、95〜98.5%がフェノールでキャップされている、請求項2に記載のエラストマー型強化剤。
- ポリエーテルのセグメントまたはブタジエンホモポリマーもしくはコポリマーのセグメントを少なくとも一つ含有し、当該セグメントの重量が少なくとも800ダルトンである、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のエラストマー型強化剤。
- イソシアネート末端化プレポリマーをまず1つ目のキャッピング剤で、次いで2つ目のキャッピング剤で順次キャップすることにより調製される、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のエラストマー型強化剤。
- イソシアネート末端化プレポリマーを2種類の異なるキャッピング剤で同時にキャップすることにより調製される、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のエラストマー型強化剤。
- イソシアネート末端化プレポリマーの一部を第一のキャッピング剤でキャップし、これとは別にイソシアネート末端化プレポリマーの第二の部を第二のキャッピング剤でキャップし、得られた2種類のキャップされたプレポリマーを混合することにより調製される、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のエラストマー型強化剤。
- A)少なくとも1種のエポキシ樹脂、
B)請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の反応性強化剤、および
C)1種以上のエポキシ硬化剤
を含む構造用接着剤。 - 上記エポキシ樹脂が少なくとも1種の多価フェノールのジグリシジルエーテルを含む、請求項8に記載の構造用接着剤であって、前記接着剤は、液状ゴム変性エポキシ樹脂、コア・シェルゴム、または、液状ゴム変性エポキシ樹脂とコア・シェルゴムの双方をさらに含み、そして、約8〜30重量%の反応性強化剤を含有する、前記接着剤。
- 硬化剤と触媒を含有する一液型接着剤であって、140℃以上の温度では急速に硬化するが、80℃以下の温度では硬化するとしてもゆっくりである、請求項8または9に記載の構造用接着剤。
- 照射によって、または、80〜130℃の温度に加熱することによって活性化される潜在的なフリーラジカル開始剤をさらに含有する、請求項8〜10のいずれか一項に記載の構造用接着剤。
- 分子量が約1500未満の少なくとも1種のモノマー性またはオリゴマー性の付加重合可能なエチレン性不飽和材料をさらに含有する、請求項8〜11のいずれか一項に記載の構造用接着剤。
- 請求項8〜12のいずれか一項に記載の構造用接着剤を2つの金属部材の表面へ塗布し、当該構造用接着剤を硬化させて2つの金属部材間に接着結合を形成する、ことを含む方法。
- 上記金属の少なくとも一方が冷間圧延鋼である、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 請求項11に記載の構造用接着剤を2つの金属部材の表面へ塗布し、当該構造用接着剤を硬化させて2つの金属部材間に接着結合を形成する、ことを含む方法であって、エチレン性不飽和基がフリーラジカル重合して接着剤が部分硬化するのに十分な照射または第一の温度まで構造用接着剤をまず加熱し、次いで部分硬化した構造用接着剤を、エポキシド基がエポキシ硬化剤と反応するさらに高温の第二の温度まで加熱することにより硬化を行う、前記方法。
