Abstract
【解決手段】リチウムイオン電池1は、正極電極端子2A及び負極電極端子2Bが突出形成されるとともに図示しない開放手段たる安全弁を備えたリチウムイオン電池本体2と、このリチウムイオン電池本体2を収容するケーシング3とからなる。ケーシング3内には、吸収材4が充填されている。過充電や充放電の繰り返し等によりリチウムイオン電池本体2フッ化水素ガスを含むガスが発生し、安全弁が開裂して、リチウムイオン電池本体2内で発生したガスが噴出したとしても、このガスのうち特に有害なフッ化水素ガスは、吸収材4に迅速に吸収されて固定化される。

Description
50mLのテフロン(登録商標)製の密閉できる容器の中に、市販の46%フッ化水素酸溶液1gと、ホストとして4,5−ビス(4−メトキシフェニル)−2−(2−ニトロフェニル)イミダゾール(ホスト化合物1)0.2gとを、直接接触しないように入れて、10分間放置することによりフッ化水素ガスとホスト化合物1とを気体状態で接触させた。その後、このホスト化合物1について物性測定を行った結果、ホスト化合物1とフッ化水素とが1:1(モル比)の包接化合物が得られた。

前述の図1に示す試作リチウムイオン二次電池において、安全弁の外側に前述のホスト化合物1を0.5g内在させ、リチウムイオン電池の充放電の繰り返し試験を行った。試験後、リチウムイオン電池を分解し、このホスト化合物1について物性測定を行った結果、ホスト化合物1はフッ化水素を包接していることが確認された。

Claims (4)
- 電気分解等で発生するガスによる内圧上昇を抑制する開放手段を備えた非水電解液二次電池本体の該開放手段の外側に、フッ化水素ガスを吸収する吸収材を配置したことを特徴とする非水電解液二次電池。
- 前記吸収材が、前記開放手段の外側に設けられたケーシング内に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
- 前記吸収材が、前記フッ化水素ガスと分子化合物を形成するものであることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
- 前記吸収材が、有機系、無機系、又は有機・無機複合系素材であることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の非水電解液二次電池。
