Abstract
938,722. Window fasteners. S. W. BENGT. SSON. June 7, 1962 [June 22, 1961], No. 22074/62. Class 44. Relates to coupling devices for double windows and of the type comprising a case 8 adapted to be fastened to one of the window sashes, with a coupling member 12 carried by the case, and a mounting plate 1 adapted to be fastened to the other of the sashes and having a bolt member 2, which is adapted to enter a hole 15 in the case 8 and be locked therein by the coupling member 12. According to the invention, the case 8 on that side which in the locking position faces the mounting plate 1, is provided with marking projections 19 which correspond with marking projections 4 on the plate 1, the projections on the case 8 serving to determine and mark the correct mounting positions for the points on the plate 1 on its sash. As shown, the case 8 consists of two similar plates secured together in spaced relationship to provide a space between them for pivotal mounting of the coupling member 12. A friction-plate is fitted on the pivot pin of the member 12. The case is mounted in a recess formed on the sash, the recess including a portion for a handle 13 of the member 12.
