A hinge has a cam member 16 slidably mounted in a housing 13 and biased by a spring 23 against a roller 15 on the other member 10 of the hinge. The position of the cam member may be adjusted by screw means, Fig. 3 (not shown). The spring may be positioned externally to the housing, as in Fig. 4 (not shown) or replaced by a rubber sleeve as in Fig. 6 (not. shown).
