Abstract
An alloy steel, with high strength and good ductility for prolonged periods of elevated temperature, contains the following by weight:- .C.0,40 to 0,50% .Mn.0,58 to 0,93% .Si.0,13 to 0,32% .Ni.0,35 to 0,75% .Cr.0,87 to 1,23% .Mo.0,88 to 1,12% .with or without P.up to 0,01% .S.up to 0,01% .V.up to 0,10% and Fe, with incidental impurities as the balance, the total Ni+Cr+Mo from 2,1 to 3,1% and Cr+Mo between 1,75 and 2,35%.
