Abstract
An austenitic steel alloy resistant to nitric acid corrosion, has a composition, in per cent by weight, in the following range: C up to 0.035, Mn up to 2.0, Si up to 0.6, Ni 14.3-17.0, Cr 17.0-21.0, Mo 2.0-3.1, Fe and impurities the remainder. The alloy may also contain N up to 0.25. Specifications 672,798 and 721,164 are referred to.
