Abstract

818,672. Seed sowing machines. MASSEYHARRIS-FERGUSON (MANUFACTURING) Ltd. Feb. 6, 1956 [Feb. 10, 1955], No. 3956/55. Class 6(1). A seed sowing machine comprises an assembly of a furrow opening disc 6 and a seed feed device 5 and a fertiliser feed device 10 mounted on the assembly so that it may be adjusted laterally and vertically to the assembly As shown the seed feed device 5 is carried by a rod 3 adjustably clamped to a bracket assembly to permit adjustment of the device 5 relatively to the disc 6. The fertiliser device 10 is provided with a stem 11 adjustably mounted in a sleeve 15 provided with a bar 17 which is adjustably mounted in a casting 7 secured to the rod 3. Seed and fertiliser are fed through a shoot 19 and tube 21 respectively and if the fertiliser and seed are to be mixed the tube 21 is removed and the tube opening is closed by a triangular fitting (not shown).
